  • Patent number: 7877966
Abstract: A machine for forming, filling, and sealing sacks has an unwinding device for a plastic tube, a cross-cutting device that cuts the tube perpendicularly to its principal axis of symmetry and creates tubular pieces in the process, a bottom forming means for forming a sack bottom at one end of the tubular piece, transport equipment to transport the resulting sacks through the machine, a filling station with a feeding element for filling the product in the sack, means of reducing the distance between the product discharge opening of the feed element and the bottom of the sack to be filled, and sealing means to seal the filled sack. The means of reducing the distance is a sack lifting device with which the sack can be lifted in the filling station such that an upper edge of the sack is located above the product discharge opening of the feed element.

  • Patent number: 7618360
Abstract: The present invention relates to a base insert device for crossed base valve bags for the formation of crossed bases in paper bags, by means of folding devices which introduce folds at the ends of the tubular sections from which the bags are produced, with one or more gluing stations, which apply glue to the regions of the folds for gluing and/or the sheets (5) provided for gluing to the base, in the gluing stations and at least one pressing station in which the folded bases and the sheets (5) are brought into contact and glued. The novelty of the present patent application is that at least one gluing station for the sheets and/or bases is provided, comprising glue outlet openings (22) which may be selectively supplied with glue, whereby the selection of the glue outlet openings (22) defines the format of the glue application (6, 7, 8, 9).

  • Publication number: 20070289262
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for producing and filling sacks comprising at least four longitudinal seams. According to prior art, the production of said sacks generally involves the longitudinal welding of a flat film to form a tubular section. The tubular section is cut into individual tubular pieces, which are provided with additional longitudinal weld seams. Both the transport of the individual tubular pieces and the subsequent introduction of the latter into a sack forming and filling process are complex. The devices used in this process are expensive and prone to faults. The aim of the invention is to provide a more cost-effective method for producing and filling sacks.

  • Publication number: 20070148382
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process that is faster than hitherto existing processes for manufacturing a film tube (25, 40, 41, 42) from a polymer and/or metal film material (A-E). The film tube is moved in relation to the joining tools during the joining process. The novelty and inventive step of said process is that before the joining process of the film tube, the metal film material (A-E) exists in the form of at least one film web (A-E). The edges of this film web (A-E) are joined to one another in a joining process forming at least one longitudinal joint seam (27). During the joining process the film tube is moved in relation to the joining tools.

  • Publication number: 20060088676
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for manufacturing a bag (25, 40) from a polymer and/or metal film material. The lower end of the sack (25, 40) is sealed and has four outer walls (A-D) that are connected by four seams (27). • Patent number: 6800051
Abstract: A method for manufacturing side fold sacks from a flat lying segment of a web of plastic tubular film provided with side folds. According to the method, the bottom end of the segment is provided in such a manner with a staggered cut or a staggered detachment along a perforation that a staggered portion is formed in which the rear wall projects beyond the front wall. Adhesive is applied to the staggered portion up to the area of a fold line, which is located adjacent the edge of the front wall that has been cut free. The staggered portion is then folded over the fold line and adhered onto the front wall to seal the bottom end of the side fold sack.

  • Patent number: 6526730
Abstract: A sack made of thermoplastic plastic that has been provided with gussets is closed after being filled in that the open side of the sack is pulled tight and provided with a crosswise seal. In order to be able to produce the crosswise seal even when the region to be sealed is contaminated, the lateral regions of the crosswise seal are formed on the region of the sack, which is still lying flat, including the gussets and extending to the transitional region by a first sealing sequence, preferably by a thermal sealing process. After the sack has been filled, the middle region of the crosswise seal is produced by a second sealing sequence, preferably an ultrasound sealing process.

  • Patent number: 6475283
Abstract: A device for applying adhesive applications on an addhesive transfer roller. The adhesive transfer roller delivers through a process of roling off its adhesive aplications to workpieces that are fed continuously for the purpose of gluing. To apply the formatted adhesive applicationm in a simple and clean manner on the transfer roller, there are, in addition to the transfer roller, adhesive nozzles that are spaced axially equidistant apart and are aimed against the jacket of the transfer roller. The adhesive application nozzles are provided with valves whose opening and closing times are controlled individually by a controller for the purpose of producing formatted adhesive applications.

  • Patent number: 5312317
Abstract: An apparatus for providing transverse weld seams and transverse detaching cuts or for providing detaching weld seams on a tubular or semi-tubular web of thermoplastic synthetic resin, and for stacking the detached sections includes a transverse welding and transverse detaching station for detaching sections having bottom weld seams and any leading head weld seams from the web and a stacking station for retaining or fixing the supplied sections. The web is moved intermittently. To cool the trailing weld seams of the sections without causing the sections to stick together adjacent to the bottom weld seams during stacking, a drum is provided which rotates about a transverse axis between the transverse welding and transverse detaching station and the stacking station. The wall of the drum includes at least two wall parts. The drum is adapted to be driven in step with the welding process by rotating the drum through an angular increment related to the number of wall parts of the drum in each revolution.
