  • Publication number: 20260111170
Abstract: The methods of communicating audio data disclosed herein decouple the generating audio data by an audio source from sending the audio data over a network cloud by a sending side network hardware abstraction layer by using a thread pool. The thread pool decouples the generation of the audio data from the sending of the audio data thereby preventing network delays from impacting audio data generation. The methods decouple the receiving of the audio data from the network cloud by pulling the audio data through at least portions of the receiving side thereby delivering precise quantities of audio data at precise times to an audio device. The data requirements of the audio device control the flow of audio data through the receiving side, not the receiving of audio data from the network cloud.

  • Publication number: 20240348551
Abstract: Methods of network operation are disclosed herein that may reduce congestion on a network. The methods of network operation may include the steps of communicating data between a network and several clients and placing each client of the several clients in VoIP communication with the network. The methods of network operation may include the step of tagging data being communicated by each client with the network with a Quality of Service (QOS) level, and the step of setting the QoS level for each client. The methods of network operation may include the step of reducing congestion of the network by controlling a quantity of data being communicated by each client with the network.

  • Publication number: 20180123731
Abstract: Programmable personal mobile communications devices, such as smart phones, are used as microphones and/or cameras for a public display/address system over a local wireless network. The steps of operation of the computer/server controlling the local wireless network are designed and ordered to reduce the latency in initially connecting a programmable personal mobile communications device to the public address system over the local wireless network. Similarly, the steps of operation of the programmable personal mobile communications device are designed and ordered to reduce the latency in initially connecting the programmable personal mobile communications device to the public address system over the local wireless network.

  • Publication number: 20160210982
Abstract: A personal mobile communications device, such as a smartphone, which increases the intelligibility of the speaker, is described. The speaker reads a specified text into the personal mobile communications device. The specified text audio signals translated into electronic voice signals are compared to electronic voice signals of a predetermined standard speaker. The characteristics in the speaker's electronic voice signals which are different from the characteristics of the electronic voice signals of the standard speaker are determined. Thereafter at least some of the characteristics of the speaker's electronic voice signals are modified toward the characteristics of the electronic voice of the predetermined standard speaker before transmitting the speaker's modified electronic voice signals. The audio signals translated from speaker's transmitted and modified electronic voice signals have increased comprehensibility.

  • Patent number: 9398129
Abstract: A smart phone incorporating a T-coil unit is described. Selection between the output of the induction coil(s) of the unit and the analog output of the radio frequency section of smart phone can made by standard switches for the analog output of the smart phone. Alternatively, with control over the amplification of the induction coil output and the analog output of the radio frequency section, and over a comparator which receives both outputs, different modes of operations for the T-coil output and the analog output can be selected for the audio output of the smart phone. The T-coil unit can also be built as a smart phone dongle which notifies the user of the existence of induction loop signals.
