  • Publication number: 20100167006
Abstract: A molding (1) composed of a base body, formed by means of an injection molding process, and a fastening device (13) which is connected thereto while it is being shaped, is intended to be plugged onto the web (3) of the bodywork of a vehicle. In order to achieve simple handling in terms of mounting but also a stable seat of the molding on the web (3), said molding is characterized by a U-shaped clamp insert (14) which is composed of plastic and which is in direct contact with the web (3), wherein the clamp insert (14) is itself placed in a metallic clamp part (15) and is arranged secured therein, and wherein the system which constitutes the fastening device (13) and is composed of the clamp insert (14) and clamp part (15) is integrated into the material of the aforesaid base body. A seat of the molding (1) on the web (3) is achieved which is permanently fixed by virtue of the elastic properties of the clamp part (15) and is secured by frictional engagement between the web (3) and the clamp insert (14).

  • Patent number: 6848218
Abstract: A profiled seal for sealing a side window that can be raised and lowered relatively to a roof frame of an automobile is disclosed. The seal includes a support rail co-extruded with an elongated elastomeric strip. Retaining elements are attached to the support rail and are positioned in spaced relation to one another. The retaining elements have slotted bases and are attached to the support rail using rivets received within the slots. The slots are oriented lengthwise parallel to the support rail and allow the retaining elements to be positionally adjusted. The retaining elements project outwardly from the support rail and are adapted to engage the roof frame for attachment of the profiled seal thereto.

  • Publication number: 20040010976
Abstract: A profiled seal (11) for sealing a side window pane (19) which can be raised and lowered relative to a roof frame (1) of a convertible has a support rail (21) and a profiled elastomeric strip (10) which is co-extruded with the support rail. The profiled seal (11) is formed three-dimensionally and can be fixed on connection points (2) of the roof frame (1) by fixing elements (37, 38). At least two retaining elements (29), which are disposed spaced from one another in the longitudinal direction (30) of the profiled seal (11), co-operate with the fixing elements (37, 38) and are connected to the support rail (21), project out of the profiled elastomeric strip (10) transversely with respect to the longitudinal direction (30). Following the co-extrusion the retaining elements (29) are fixed on the support rail (21).
