  • Patent number: 7666654
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preparing viral suspensions. The invention relates in particular to a method for preparing high-titer viral suspensions in cell cultures. Preferred methods include increasing the volume of the cell culture prior to infection with viral material and subsequent further steps of expanding the volume to a final volume which is distinctly larger than the maximum culture volume prior to infection.

  • Publication number: 20060098684
Abstract: The invention relates to a data communications method, a data communications system, and to a computer for use in a data communications system, whereby the data communications system has several clients. The computer contains a telephone conference and/or video conference data processing device, which supports a first data transmission protocol, and contains another data processing device that supports both the first as well as the second protocol, whereby the second protocol is also supported by clients. The data communications system permits a uniform resource management independent of the type and location of the connected resources and permits a uniform system control interface for monitoring both the H.323 standard as well as TDM/PCM-based proprietary resources.

  • Patent number: 6625168
Abstract: In a system for controlling and monitoring first telecommunication terminal devices coupled to private branch exchanges or second telecommunication terminal devices coupled to long-distance networks, at least one application-related conversion unit is provided together with at least one control information router and protocol conversion unit. The application-related conversion units are used for protocol conversion of data supplied by application programs to a uniform system-internal data format. The function of the control information routers is the reception and forwarding of commands and messages. The protocol conversion units are provided for the conversion of the uniform system-internal data format to domain-specific communication protocols.

  • Publication number: 20030108064
Abstract: At least two communication systems are controlled or monitored by at least one application by transmitting data from an application to a communication system or conversely from a communication system to an application. An interposed shared service receives and processes the data in each case and subsequently forwards the data. The service sends the data to the communication systems in the same data format in each case and receives the data from the communication systems. When at least one of the communication systems uses a different data format, at least one conversion unit is connected between the communication system and the service for adapting the data formats. With this arrangement it is unnecessary to preset the application to the particular data format used by the communication system to transmit control and status information.

  • Publication number: 20020082030
Abstract: A telecommunication device, and associated method, for forwarding messages intended for forwarded-to subscribers, including a database which contains subscriber-related information relating to a number of forwarded-to subscribers and terminals associated with these and message formats compatible with these terminals, and a control device. On reception of a message for a forwarded-to subscriber, the control device selects via the subscriber-related information one or more terminals via which the forwarded-to subscriber can be reached, and message formats which are compatible with these terminals, converts the message with the aid of conversion modules and forwards it to the respective corresponding telecommunication network interface for transmission to the selected terminals.

  • Patent number: 4580428
Abstract: A hot-rolling mill for producing sheet metal has a reversing roughing stand having pairs of roughing rolls and a reversing finishing stand adjacent thereto and having pairs of finishing rolls. Each stand is selectively operable alone and both stands are operable in tandem operation. The roughing rolls have diameters larger than the diameters of the finishing rolls and the finishing rolls operate at a higher rotary speed than the roughing rolls in the tandem operation.

  • Patent number: 4497191
Abstract: In a hot-rolling plant, a single roughing stand directly precedes a forward reversing coiler and is closely spaced therefrom. A set of two reversing finishing stands is arranged in direct succession between the forward reversing coiler and a rear reversing coiler, the distance between the roughing stand and the finishing stands being just sufficient to accommodate the forward reversing coiler. The set of finishing stands and the roughing stand are selectively operable individually and jointly with each other.
