  • Publication number: 20160370017
Abstract: A method and system for providing heat for a district heating supply are provided. Heat at a first temperature level is provided by a thermal water conveying system from a geothermal source. By operating a high-temperature heat pump and thermally connecting the same to the geothermal source, the thermal water can be conducted through the evaporator of the high-temperature heat pump and the heat thereof can be transferred to the evaporator of the high-temperature heat pump. The condenser of the high-temperature heat pump then supplies heat at a second, higher temperature level to the district heating network. A high-temperature compression heat pump may be used as the high-temperature heat pump. The second, higher temperature level achieved in this manner may be above 100° C.
