  • Publication number: 20220334047
Abstract: Disclosed are a method and a device for determining characteristics of particles dispersed in gases and liquids in the nano- and microscale size ranges and the number distribution and concentration thereof by use of particle photometry. This can be achieved by producing scattered light measurements in a photometer for a different number of aperture or receiving angles and evaluating particle characteristics from the determined scattered light intensities using evaluation algorithms. The determination of particle characteristics over a size range of several decades is made possible without the need to change or adapt the geometry of the sample measurement chamber.

  • Patent number: 8370081
Abstract: Modeling the gravitational field-induced or centrifugal field-induced separation of particles of a dispersion by use of one or more additional force fields that also influence the migration of the particles. A method includes detecting and measuring the modified separation behavior with the help of concentration-measuring sensors. The force acting upon the particles can be calculated from the change in velocity of the particles, and the corresponding particle properties can be calculated if the respective field intensities are known.

  • Patent number: 6885897
Abstract: A module for controlling a drive is described. The module contains a terminal for connecting to a control system for operating tasks and a control system for safety tasks. Commands from the control system for safety tasks have priority over commands from the control system for operating tasks. A microprocessor is provided for processing the commands and is coupled to the terminal. A logic circuit is provided for prioritizing the commands from the control system for safety tasks, the logic circuit is connected to the microprocessor. At least one output is coupled to the microprocessor and/or the logic circuit. An interface is provided for connecting to the control system for operating tasks or a diagnostic device, the interface is connected to the microprocessor. A memory is provided for storing the commands and replies, the memory is connected to the microprocessor.

  • Patent number: 4249651
Abstract: An improvement in a double bucket attached at the circumference of a bucket wheel or of a bucket drum for a stockpile reclaimer is disclosed, the double bucket being adapted to revolve in a circular path and effective in picking up material in either direction of rotation of the bucket wheel or bucket drum, and being provided with scraper blades connected to parallel side walls or partition walls of the bucket, and with a bucket backplate pivotally supported at the side walls or partition walls of the bucket by means of a shaft or stub shafts, the bucket backplate being capable of pivoting within the space of the bucket and thus acting in the same manner for both directions of rotation to carry collected stockpile material upwardly either on one face or on the other, depending upon the direction of rotation, the improvement being at least one brake connected on one side of the shaft of the bucket backplate and on the other side to the side wall of the bucket, whereby the bucket backplate is prevented from piv
