  • Patent number: 11920566
Abstract: A method of repairing a wind turbine rotor blade, in particular an existing wind turbine rotor blade, that has erosion damage or transport damage. A first region is ablated into a surface or a surface coating of the rotor blade. An adhesive is applied to the ablated region, an erosion protection film is placed on the adhesive and the adhesive is cured.

  • Publication number: 20230125200
Abstract: A method of forming a composite component comprising a layer which consists at least partly of polyethylene, a layer which consists at least partly of a polyurethane and/or an elastomer, at least one layer which consists at least partly of a plastic reinforced by fibers, or which consists at least partly of an adhesive, wherein the layer is disposed directly between the layer and the layer, wherein the layers have been joined in a first operation to form a laminate composite and the layer have been joined in a second operation onto the laminate composite comprising the layers.

  • Publication number: 20180266389
Abstract: A method of retrofitting a tooth unit to a trailing edge of a wind turbine rotor blade. A portion of the trailing edge of the rotor blade is cut out and removed. That can be affected when the rotor blade is still disposed on a hub of the wind power installation (that is to say in the mounted state). A tooth retrofitting unit is glued or adhesively fixed on the trailing edge of the wind turbine rotor blade in the cut-out and removed portion. The tooth retrofitting unit has a V-shaped profile and at its first side has two fixing arms and at an opposite side a plurality of teeth. The two fixing arms are adhesively secured to the trailing edge of the rotor blade to mount the tooth retrofitting unit.

  • Publication number: 20140317925
Abstract: There is provided a heating device for use in the repair or production of a component of a wind power installation, in particular a rotor blade of a wind power installation. The heating device has a mat with at least one peripherally extending passage open to one side, and a vacuum tube in the at least one passage. The at least one peripherally extending passage divides the mat into a first and a second portion. A heating unit is provided in the region of the first portion. The air in the region of the first portion can be sucked away through the vacuum tube in the at least one passage.
