Abstract: A massage carriage comprises a drive (1), a first shaft that can be moved by the drive (1) and a second shaft that can be moved by the drive (1), two first arms (3), which are connected to the first shaft, can be moved by the first shaft and on each of which a massage element (4) is mounted, and two second arms (6), which are connected to the second shaft and can be moved by the second shaft, one of which each acts on one of the first arms (3). To relieve the back of the person using the chair when the massage function of a massage chair is not in use, or when the backrest is moved far backwards or downwards, the length of the second arms (6), i.e. the distance between the point of connection to the second shaft and the point of action on the respective first arm (3), is adjustable.

Abstract: A massage arm (1), comprising a massage element (2) for a massage unit that can be incorporated into a massage chair or similar, is hinged on at least one shaft that can be moved by a drive in the massage unit, and has an articulated connection to the massage element (2). To achieve an improved massaging action with the massage arm and the attached massage elements, it is proposed that the articulated connection comprise a ball-and-socket joint (3).

Abstract: A massage arm (1) comprising a massage element (2) for a massage unit which can be mounted on a massage chair or other seat or other item of furniture used for seating or lying purposes, wherein the massage arm (1) is coupled to at least one shaft, which can be displaced in the massage unit by means of a drive in order to produce a first vibrating movement within a first frequency range, and is connected to the massage element (2) in an articulated manner. The massage element (2) has at least one contact surface which acts upon the body of the person receiving the massage. According to the invention, in order to achieve an improved massage effect, a vibration device (8) is provided.
