  • Publication number: 20040122198
Abstract: The invention relates to compounds on the basis of organosilic compounds, which can be crosslinked at room temperature, so-called RTV-1 compounds, and which are characterized by containing as the catalyst at least one organozinc compound (C) that contains moieties of the general formula (I): RaR1b(XR3)cSnX(4-a-b-c)/2, and compounds (D) that contain basic nitrogen, wherein R1 is the same or different and represents —OS(═O)2R2, and R, X, R2, R3, a, b and c are defined as in claim 1, with the proviso that the organozinc compound comprises at least one R1 group. The invention further relates to a method for producing the inventive compounds.

  • Patent number: 6020449
Abstract: The invention relates to alkoxy-crosslinking RTV1 silicone rubber mixtures based on polydiorganosiloxanes with dialkoxyorganosiloxy end groups, the organo radical being a substituted amidoalkyl radical, which can be prepared using conventional mixing technologies. The novel RTV1 silicone rubber mixtures cure rapidly and without tack to give products with good mechanical properties. The shelf-life of the mixtures is excellent. One particular advantage of this invention is that it is also possible to create systems in which crosslinking produces only elimination products which are completely free from toxic methanol.
