  • Publication number: 20080191472
Abstract: A flexible sprinkler hose includes an inner corrugated hose, enclosed by a braiding with a terminal coupling nut connected to the hose for connection to a fitting. According to the invention, a secure connection between the hose and the coupling nut may be achieved with a simple construction, by a terminal smoothing of the corrugated tube, a support sleeve running between the smoothed terminal region of the corrugated hose and the braiding, the braiding being fixed between the support sleeve, a clamping sleeve enclosing the support sleeve and the smoothed terminal region is enclosed by the coupling nut including a shoulder running in the direction of the support sleeve. The above is provided with a stop element to prevent a withdrawal of the coupling sleeve element on coupling to the fitting and a flange-shaped terminal section of the terminal region of the corrugated tube is fixed between the coupling nut and the fitting.

  • Patent number: 6499769
Abstract: A device for connecting a first tube (10) with a connection tube (14) whose end segments (22, 24) extend through an opening (12) of the first tube and to establish in a simple manner, a force-fit connection between the tubes, a tool (34) is proposed which comprises at least two segments (36, 38) axially displaceable relative to the other and extending within the connection tube(14) up to or nearly into the first tube (10), with one of the segments (36) having a radially projecting protrusion (42) which engages the end segment (22, 24) with the segments disposed within the tube (10), and external to the projecting protrusion the segments have a total effective diameter which is adapted to the inner diameter of the connection tube (14) in the region of the opening (12) of the first tube (10).

  • Patent number: 6305722
Abstract: The invention concerns a telescopic tube (10), in particular for sprinkler systems, comprising an outer tube (12) and an inner tube (14) which is movable relative to the latter and has an inner end piece (36) which extends inside the outer tube and has an outer diameter which is larger than the inner tube in their adjoining regions. The telescopic tube (10) further comprises a securing element (26) which surrounds the inner tube and is provided for the outer tube, the outer end (22) of the latter extending in said securing element (26). According to the invention, in order to provide a precise connection between the inner and outer tubes using precision screw machine parts in particular, the outer end (22) of the outer tube is widened and extends inside an annular mounting (24) of the securing element which in turn comprises an outer edge (34) which extends externally along the outer tube and is deformed in the direction of the outer end of the outer tube when the latter has been fitted in the mounting.

  • Patent number: 5984015
Abstract: Pipework (10, 12) for sprinkler systems comprises pipes (20,24,26,28,32) leading from a supply line (14) conveying extinguishing liquid and displaceable about mutually parallel axes (44,46,48,50). A union runs from the supply line and an end pipe (28) to which a sprinkler head can be fitted. To ensure that the displaceable pipes are highly variable, at least one of the pressurized displaceable pipes is a U-shaped pipe (20,26). The arms (18,22) of the pipe are connectors for at least one further pipe (24,28) and/or the union (16) which is secured to the U-shaped pipe in a pressure tight connection via plug-in connectors (34,36,38,40,42).
