  • Patent number: 5702350
Abstract: An adapter is provided for connecting a stereoscopic endoscope having intertwined stereo beam paths to electronic documentation devices. The adapter has a releasable connection to the endoscope at a location at which the stereoscopic component images are not yet completely separated. A second releasable connection between the first releasable connection and the end of the adapter can be provided which faces toward the electronic documentation devices in order to provide a variable adaptation to different optics diameters of the stereoscopic endoscope.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 5612816
Abstract: The invention is directed to a stereoscopic endoscope wherein an intermediate image is generated in a rod-shaped endoscope attachment. The intermediate image is imaged into the focal plane of an objective. The objective can be the main objective of a surgical microscope with the objective having a long focal length or the main objective of a stereoscopic recording system. The main objective and an in-coupling optic conjointly define an inverted telescope.

  • Patent number: 5589977
Abstract: A prism component group is provided in a pivotable binocular tube assembly for a stereomicroscope. The prism component group is configured as a deflection prism with two roof prisms cemented thereto. The two roof prisms are offset relative to respective ones of the optical axes of the stereoscopic component beam paths.

  • Patent number: 5288987
Abstract: The invention relates to a high-precision autofocusing arrangement for a stereomicroscope wherein a bar-shaped marking is projected via a cylinder optic on an object. The imaged bar-shaped marking is at least in one dimension less or equal to the resolution of the viewing beam path. A region of the objective not used optically is selected for projection as the pass-through pupil.

  • Patent number: 5185643
Abstract: The invention is directed to an arrangement for operating a laser diode. A two-stage stabilization circuit is provided for stabilizing the wavelength of a laser diode to exactly defined values for its use in distance measuring interferometers. In addition to presetting the operating parameters of current and temperature of the laser diode, the emitted wavelength of the laser diode is controlled to a predetermined transmission maximum of a Fabry-Perot interferometer. At switch-on, a control program can be called up and compute new values for the operating parameters premised on the last measured values of the operating parameters and initially determined and stored coefficients. In this way, the program always reliably sets the wavelength of the laser diode to the same transmission maximum.

  • Patent number: 5042041
Abstract: The injection current for a laser diode is modulated so that a pregiven coherence function is obtained which drops off continuously at both ends outside of the coherence length. Several laser diodes are used for a very short coherence length for which the modulated wave numbers of the emitted radiation follow one another or overlap.
