  • Patent number: 10889973
Abstract: A sanitary insert, which is arranged in a water line, is provided. The sanitary insert includes a mixing device with at least one throttling or closing element, which can be moved under the pressure of the inflowing water from a mixing or open position into a throttling or closed position against a restoring force. The mixing device offers a relatively large clear flow cross section when the at least one throttling or closing element in the mixing or open position, and, by contrast thereto, a reduced clear flow cross section when the at least one throttling or closing element is in the throttling or closed position. The installation element always offers an optimum flow cross section both in low and high pressure ranges.

  • Patent number: 10669703
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a sanitary insert unit, configured for insertion into a discharge fitting. The insert unit includes an upstream sieve connected to a throughflow regulator. The throughflow regulator includes a control gap and a throttle body that deforms under pressure to regulate throughflow by varying an opening size of the control gap. The sieve and throughflow regulator are arranged upstream of a jet diffusor which includes a plurality of radial openings. The sieve, throughflow regulator and jet diffusor are arranged to be, at least partially, received within a housing. The ratio of the overall height of the insert unit to the height of the height of the assembled sieve and throughflow regulator is approximately 2.7:1.

  • Patent number: 8402995
Abstract: A flow-volume regulator has an elastic throttle body which delimits, between itself and a housing wall, a control gap that changes under the pressure of a fluid flow, and at least one associated bypass and/or cleaning channel that has at least one channel inlet arranged upstream of the control gap and at least one channel outlet arranged downstream of the control gap. The bypass and/or cleaning channel contains a valve which can move against a restoring force under the pressure of the oncoming fluid, from an open position into a closed position, and seals the bypass and/or cleaning channel in its closed position. The flow-volume regulator allows an additional volume of the fluid through the bypass channel when the oncoming fluid is at low pressure, so that its flow curve is significantly increased in the low pressure range.

  • Patent number: 8348227
Abstract: A fluid flow regulator includes a regulating profile which is either centrally or peripherally disposed within the flow rate regulator, and an annular restrictor which is made of an elastic material. In a functional position of the flow rate regulator, the restrictor delimits a control gap between itself and the regulating profile. In a starting position of the flow rate regulator, the flow rate regulator has an unrestricted flow cross section that is larger than the control gap. The unrestricted flow cross section of the flow rate regulator is variable by a deformation of the restrictor in response to a pressure differential that is generated when a fluid flows through the flow rate regulator. The relative position of the restrictor and the regulatory profile is variable, and moveable against a reset force, into the functional position from the starting position, in response to a flow of fluid within the flow rate regulator. The reset force may be provided in the form of a spring.

  • Patent number: 7527075
Abstract: A flow regulator (10) having a regulator housing (1) which is provided with a control device (8a) having a central body (3a) in a passage channel (2). An annular throttle body (4a) produced from an elastic material bounds the central body (3a) and defines a control gap (6a) between the throttle body (4a) and an adjacent peripheral surface (5a) that is provided with control recesses (7a) that are oriented in a flow direction (Pf1, Pf2). The passage cross-section of the control gap can be varied by the throttle body which is deformed by the pressure difference caused during throughflow. In the present flow regulator (10), there are two control devices (8a, 8b) arranged one behind the other the longitudinal direction of the passage channel (2), with the two control devices (8a, 8b) being configured for different throughputs and/or pressure ranges.

  • Publication number: 20080078848
Abstract: A sanitary insert unit (1), which can be inserted into a discharge fitting is provided, comprising a substantially conically-shaped upstream sieve (2) with a downstream-located throughflow regulator (3) and a jet regulator (4) in a direction of flow. The throughflow regulator (3) is arranged substantially inside the inner area (6) of the insert unit, which is defined on the upper side by the upstream sieve (2). The throughflow regulator (3) has a cross-sectional shape that is substantially adapted to the cross-sectional profile of the upstream sieve (2). The throughflow regulator (3) has a rising sloping surface (9) which rises gradually in a radially inward manner from an outer, particularly annular, edge area and which leads to a control gap (10) or a similar throughflow opening that leads to the jet regulator (4). The rising sloping surface (9) and the upstream sieve are spaced apart from one another.
