Abstract: An internal check-out system can coordinate between A) a provisioning system for artificial reality platform-specific applications and B) a social media platform, for providing an application check-out pipeline that's executed internally to the social media platform but in the context of the artificial reality platform. The social media platform can provide content items, related to applications that can be executed on the artificial reality platform, with links for the user to acquire the application. When the user accesses such a link, the internal check-out system can use a link to acquire a context of the artificial reality platform, useable by the social media platform. The internal check-out system can then provide a view, from within the social media platform, to a check-out service for the selected artificial reality platform application. Following the checkout, the application can be automatically installed on an artificial reality device.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes sending instructions for presenting a content recommendation associated with a virtual-reality (VR) application to a client system associated with a user, wherein the content recommendation comprises an interactable element for installing the VR application, receiving an indication of an activation of the interactable element for installing the VR application from the client system, and sending instructions for automatically downloading the VR application to the VR system to a VR system associated with the user responsive to the indication received from the client system, wherein the VR system is separate from the client system, the VR application being automatically installed on the VR system after downloading of the VR application to the VR system.

Abstract: In some implementations, the disclosed systems and methods can automatically generate seller listing titles and descriptions for products; set a follow-me mode for various virtual objects, causing the virtual objects to be displayed as word-locked or body-locked in response to a current mode for the virtual objects and the location of the user of the XR device in relation to various anchor points for the virtual objects; create and/or apply XR profiles that specify one or more triggers for one or more effects that are applied to a user when the triggers are satisfied; and/or enable addition of external content in 3D applications.
