  • Publication number: 20050138856
Abstract: A fishing rod holder for use with an ice fishing hole is formed by a planar hoop member shaped and arranged to surround the hole for resting on the ice surface around the hole having at one location on its periphery an indented portion forming a bight arranged to extend partly across the hoop toward an opposite part of its periphery such that an apex of the bight is located approximately at a midpoint of the hoop for location at the centre of the hole. A sleeve with a pinched bottom end is located on the hoop member by wrapping of the bottom end around one peripheral portion of the hoop to allow rotation of the sleeve about the portion and location of the sleeve at an angle upwardly and inwardly for receiving the butt end of a fishing rod in an operating position inclined upwardly and inwardly of the hoop member.

  • Patent number: 5651487
Abstract: A paper towel removal accessory for use in removing only the desired number of paper towels at a time from a roll of paper towels. The roll of paper towels is rotatably mounted on a paper towel holder, the paper towel holder being mounted on a support surface. This accessory invention is designed to provide an efficient and reliable device to control and deliver exactly the number of paper towels desired by the user and to do it in single-handed operation. It works equally well with either vertical or horizontal installations, and it is equally efficient when applied with most commercial paper towel holders currently in use and available.

  • Patent number: 4291461
Abstract: A knife guide device for the opening of the paper cartons in general use for milk and other liquids. It is designed to work well with any sharp knife, and it works equally well right or left handed. It leaves a clean cut spout for pouring or drinking, and it does away with the heavy laminated paper flange sealing that part of the carton and with most of the fuzzy coat of the broken seal that remains when it is torn open with the fingers as originally intended. It makes subsequent openings and closings of the spout much easier and neater. The knife guide device comprises a guide surface with a slot that fits over and around the sealed flange of the container to be opened, a tang that hooks underneath the not to be cut end of the flange, and a handle with two gauge notches to indicate the exact point for the vertical cut to be made before applying the guide blade to make the horizontal cut of the paper flange.
