  • Patent number: 9567887
Abstract: An exhaust gas aftertreatment component includes a ceramic carrier body with a plurality of axial flow channels, wherein the carrier body has an inner region and an outer region, which radially surrounds the inner region. A cell density of the carrier body is smaller in the inner region than a cell density in the outer region. At least the outer region of the carrier body has a coaling, wherein the coating of the outer region has an HC adsorber function for a reversible adsorption of unburnt hydrocarbons. An exhaust gas system, which is equipped with such an exhaust gas aftertreatment component, and a vehicle, which has such an exhaust gas system are also provided.

  • Patent number: 9188036
Abstract: The invention relates to an exhaust system (10) for an internal combustion engine, having an exhaust gas path which, at least in sections, has two parallel exhaust ducts (30, 32), specifically a main duct (30) and a secondary duct (32), wherein a HC adsorber (42) for the reversible adsorption of unburned hydrocarbons (HC) is provided in the secondary duct (32); having a setting means (46) for selectively conducting an exhaust gas flow into the main duct (30) and/or into the secondary duct (32), and having a main catalytic converter (40) arranged downstream of the parallel exhaust ducts (30, 32). It is intended that a catalytic exhaust gas converter (44) for converting at least one exhaust gas component is provided in the main duct (30) of the parallel exhaust ducts (30, 32).

  • Patent number: 9062580
Abstract: The invention relates to an exhaust gas system (10) for an internal combustion engine (12), having an exhaust gas path which includes at least in sections two parallel exhaust gas lines (34, 36), namely a main line (34) and an auxiliary line (36), an adsorber (46) for reversible sorption of unburnt hydrocarbons (HC) and/or nitrogen oxides (NOx) being situated in the auxiliary line (36); having an adjusting means (48) for selectively guiding an exhaust gas flow into the main line (34) and/or into the auxiliary line (36) and having a main catalytic converter (44) situated downstream from the parallel exhaust gas lines (33, 36). An exhaust gas flow-conducting, gas-permeable element (58) is provided upstream from the adsorber (46), which separates the auxiliary line (36) from the remaining exhaust gas flow-conducting areas. In addition, the adsorber (46) may also be equipped with a particle filtering function and/or a catalytic function.
