Abstract: Controlling and reconfiguring a display system that includes at least two screens that are installed in a cockpit of an aircraft in case of a failure of one of the screens. For example, a control unit of the display system may detect occurrence of a screen failure. In response to detecting the screen failure, the control unit may determine whether a critical flight relevant information has not been displayed on an operational screen during a predetermined period of time, and in response to determining that the critical flight relevant information has not been displayed on the operational screen during the predetermined period of time, command display of a message on the operational screen that suggests displaying the critical flight relevant information on the operational screen.

Abstract: A device and a method for assisting the piloting of an aircraft. The device comprises at least one touch screen, a memory containing a database, measurement and detection means, and analysis means. The measurement and detection means and the analysis means determine a current situation of the aircraft. Each touch screen displays two pages of information, at least one main permanent icon independent of the current situation, and at least one main contextual icon relating to an event of the current situation. Each touch screen enables a main contextual icon to be selected and then dragged sideways in order to display a page of information attached to an event of the current situation. The touch screen also enables a main permanent icon to be selected in order to display a main page of information.

Abstract: A method of managing warnings in an aircraft, includes: receiving information signals associated with a malfunction or with conditions requiring the pilot to be informed; preparing warning instructions as a function of the context and forwarding the warning instructions to visual and/or audible indicator elements; allocating a visual and/or audible warning to each of the warning instructions; and using visual indicator elements to display the visual warnings and using audible indicator elements to emit the audible warnings.
