  • Patent number: 5756576
Abstract: The invention relates to a polymer composition comprising 5 to 79 wt. % of a graft copolymer of vinyl aromatic monomer units and monomer units chosen from the group of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl methacrylates, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl acrylates, methacrylonitrile and acrylonitrile on a rubber, 90 to 20 wt. % of a thermoplastic polymer with polar groups, and 1 to 50 wt. % of a terpolymer comprising a vinyl aromatic monomer, at least one monomer chosen from the group of C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl methacrylates, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl acrylates, methacrylonitrile and acrylonitrile, and 0.2 to 5 mol % of an .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated compound containing dicarboxylic anhydride, the wt. % of components (A), (B) and (C) being relative to the total weight of components (A), (B) and (C), characterized in that the molar mass of component (C) is comprised between 160,000 g/mol and 230,000 g/mol. The polymer composition has excellent mechanical properties, in particular a high impact resistance at low temperatures.

  • Patent number: 5475083
Abstract: Compositions of an ethylene/carbon monoxide copolymer and a second component serving as swelling agent or gelling or non-gelling solvent, which are suited to be moulded below the melting point of the copolymer using the customary moulding techniques, and the second component of which is chosen from a group so far not known as possible components of compositions of ethylene/carbon monoxide copolymers.
