    Abstract: An engine speed control device comprises an engine speed control lever (2) generating an engine speed instruction (POS) and means for delivering the indicative information (&thetas;e) on the actual engine speed. Actuating means (8, 10) are designed in such a way that a mechanical force can be applied on the lever (2) according to the difference between the instruction (POS) and the indicative information (&thetas;e) on the actual engine speed. Said device is suitable for an aircraft. The engine speed control method is also disclosed.
