  • Publication number: 20250176615
Abstract: An aerosol-generating article is provided, including: a center axis extending centrally along a longitudinal direction; an aerosol-forming substrate portion housing a susceptor and an aerosol-forming substrate at least partly circumscribing the susceptor; and a substrate wrapper at least partly circumscribing the substrate portion and forming an overlapping region of overlapping end portions, the wrapper being 50 micrometers thick or more and including layers having a same length in a direction parallel to the center axis, the susceptor including a flat planar susceptor portion oriented such that an angle between a first straight line perpendicular to a flat planar face of the flat portion and a second straight line perpendicular to the center axis and extending from the center axis to a position in the overlapping region is between 0 and 25 degrees, and a pit being formed directly adjacent to the overlapping region and containing no aerosol-forming substrate.

  • Publication number: 20240306702
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing inhaler articles (10). The method comprises providing a plurality of semifinished inhaler articles. Each inhaler article comprises a longitudinal axis, a proximal end, and an open distal end (16). The method comprises aligning the semifinished inhaler articles such that their longitudinal axes are arranged in parallel and the open distal ends of the semifinished inhaler articles are located at the exact same height with respect to a direction parallel to the longitudinal axes. The method comprises at least partially closing the distal ends of the aligned semifinished inhaler articles. The invention further relates to packages of inhaler articles with uniformly closed ends. The invention further relates to a holder for an apparatus for manufacturing inhaler articles. The invention further relates to an apparatus for manufacturing inhaler articles.

  • Publication number: 20240306733
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing inhaler articles, comprising steps of providing a semifinished inhaler article, providing a rotating drum comprising a plurality of slot elements with movable end faces, inserting the semifinished inhaler article into a slot element, providing an alignment element in proximity to the semifinished inhaler article, moving the movable end face of the slot element against the proximal end of the semifinished inhaler article to push the semifinished inhaler article along its longitudinal axis until the open distal end of the semifinished inhaler article contacts the alignment element, fixing the movable end face in position, providing a closing station in proximity to the semifinished inhaler article, and at least partially closing the distal end of the semifinished inhaler article. The invention further relates to packages of inhaler articles, to a rotating drum, and to an apparatus for manufacturing inhaler articles.
