  • Publication number: 20070227644
Abstract: Instrumentation for a rubber article for the ground contact system of a vehicle, such as an anti-vibration coupling or a tire, may comprise the use of wiring (34) for electrical connection between functional units (36, 38). A connecting element having wiring (34), or an electrical harness, integrated into a support (32) of precured elastomer compatible with the rubbers of the tire. • Patent number: 6991013
Abstract: A tire equipped with at least one receiving antenna (2) of a reception device (1) which includes an electronic device (10) intended to be remote controlled by electromagnetic coupling with at least one transmitting antenna (8). This receiving antenna (2) is intended to be connected to the electronic device (10) and is divided into several loop parts (2.1, 2.2) arranged in a parallel circuit, these loop parts (2.1, 2.2) each having a surface (s1, s2), these surfaces (s1, s2) being juxtaposed so that during rolling of the tire the loop parts (2.1, 2.2) are coupled successively and continuously to the transmitting antenna (8).

  • Patent number: 6958615
Abstract: A method and a device for evaluating the deformations or forces to which a structure having an elastomeric body (2) is subjected. The device includes a dipole (6), the dielectric (3) of which is formed by the elastomeric body, and an electronic analyzing circuit sensitive to a variation of a capacitive characteristic of the dipole caused by the deformations of the elastomeric body. In particular, but not exclusively, the invention relates to a device for evaluating the forces to which a pneumatic tire is subjected when rolling, as it passes through the contact area. The invention applies similarly in other structures having an elastomeric body, such as, for example, the elastomeric joints intended for the chassis system of vehicles.

  • Patent number: 6851307
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining a transverse component (Fy) of a resultant of forces exerted through the roadway (3) on an area of contact (2) of a tire (1). The transverse component (Fy) is deduced from at least one measurement of the angular circumferential deformation in at least one first side wall (4) of the tire (1) at a first fixed point (B) in space which is located at an azimuth (?) along the circumference of the tire (1).

  • Patent number: 6666079
Abstract: A tire includes a nail-type force sensor embedded, for example, in an isolated element such as a tread pattern block (T112). The sensor comprises a rigid shank (1) designed to be acted upon by the force to be determined and a head (2). The head (2) comprises an element attached to the shank (1) capable of being deformed when the shank is displaced. This deformable element carries means to measure the deformation and comprises anchoring points which have a position relative to the shank (1) at rest and which essentially maintain that position when the shank (1) is displaced.
