  • Patent number: 4984976
Abstract: A method of making annular polymeric articles in which a workpiece is placed on a cylindrical shaping surface and is divided about the perimeter into alternating first and second portions. Moulding is done in two stages, the first stage including moulding the first portions, and the second stage including moulding the second portions interposed between the first portions at the same time maintaining the pressure exerted on the first portion, after which the workpiece is vulcanized. The mould includes a cylindrical core (1) having a shaped surface, mounted on a base and serving to accommodate the workpiece thereon, and elements (5, 6) for squeezing the workpiece arranged around the cylindrical core (1) alternately, the first elements (5) having each side surfaces (7) parallel with the axis of symmetry of this element (5), whereas the second elements (6) having each side surfaces (7) of the neighboring first elements (5) arranged at an angle (.alpha.

  • Patent number: 4908090
Abstract: Apparatus for the pressure-forming and curing of polymer products incorporates two moulds (1) and a forming device, the moulds (1) being sturdily linked to each other with provision for setting the separating distance as required and for revolving on a fulcrum pin (9) so that the material of a circular product can be wound therearound. The moulds (1) are semicylinders which face each other with their flat sides and are sturdily interlinked by two parallel plates (2) so as to form integrally therewith a sturdy building core having a contoured outside surface. The forming device is a girdling structure which embraces the semicylinders (1) and the plates (2) circumferentially and is made up of at least two elements at least one whereof is located with provision for radial displacement in the course of pressure-forming.

  • Patent number: 4848720
Abstract: A device for producing annular-shaped articles comprises a hub (4) and a cylinder-shaped body (1) made up of sectors (2 and 3), of which the sectors (2) are rigidly coupled to the hub (4), while the other sectors (3) are traversable with respect to the hub, a pusher (6) being axially arranged in the hub (4) and adapted to interact, while axially moving, through its ends extending towards the other sectors (3), with stops (8) secured on the other sectors (3) for traversing the latter with respect to the hub (4). The stops (8) are held to the other sectors (3) at angles (.alpha.) less than 90 degrees with the direction of movement performed by the pusher (6) when the other sectors (3) are being brought together.

  • Patent number: 4846771
Abstract: A cogged belt (1) having an elastic base of which accommodates a carrying element (4) and an element (6) reinforcing cogs (5) of the belt (1). The reinforcing element (6) has the form of a corrugated band corrugations (7) of which are arranged inside the cogs (5) of the belt (1). The carrying element (4) is continuous through the length of the belt (1), whereas the reinforcing element (6) and its corrugations (7) have a width substantially the same as that of the carrying element (4) equal to the length of the cog (5) of the belt. The reinforcing element (6) is arranged at one side of the carrying element (4).

  • Patent number: 4799919
Abstract: A cogged belt comprising an elastic base (3) which incorporates a carrying element and a reinforcing element which reinforces; cogs (1) of the belt and is in the form of a corrugated strip. Corrugations (5) of the strip are imedded in the cogs (1). The reinforcing element (2) has a width equal to the width of the cog (1), whereas the carrying element is formed by locks (4) disposed in the zone of the corrugations (5) to powerlock their bases and portions (6) of the reinforcing element (2) interposed between the corrugations (5).
