  • Patent number: 7299441
Abstract: A method is proposed for improving the layout efficiency in laying out electronic components, which is applicable to information processing equipment, to accelerate the layout of electronic components. First, a first two-dimensional plan view including various electronic component members is preset using a drafting software platform. Subsequently, the two-dimensional plan view is converted to a text file and all the relevant data of the electronic components contained in the two-dimensional plan view are encoded in the text file. Then, all of the electronic component members contained in the first two-dimensional plan view are displayed in a second two-dimensional plan view, and a function selection menu is generated by an arithmetic process. Therewith, a user is able to select the data of the electronic component contained in the text file via the function selection menu to perform the layout operations for a printed circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20070113165
Abstract: A multimedia playing method and system are proposed. The system at least has a main section and a remote section having a fingerprint identifying function. The main section has a database for storing identification data of multimedia contents, pausing points of the multimedia contents indicating the point at which the contents were previously paused when played and corresponding user identifications. The remote section acquires a fingerprint of a current user as the user identification, the multimedia content to be played and the user's instructions, which are transmitted to the main section. The main section then searches in its database for a pausing point of the multimedia content to be played corresponding the user identification. Then, the multimedia content is played from the pausing point for the particular user.

  • Publication number: 20030112975
Abstract: A transmission-reception method for a wireless device of an electronic equipment, wherein a control circuit of the device is capable of receiving signals outputted from the equipment and utilizing an encryption-decryption module to encrypt a signal based on a preset identification code. After completing the encryption, the signal is sent by a wireless transceiver module to a remote transmission-reception device. When the device receives an acknowledgment signal from the wireless transceiver module, the acknowledgment signal is decrypted by the encryption-decryption module to determine whether matching with a preset identification number. If positive, sent the acknowledgment signal to the equipment for further processing to achieve the objective of wireless transmission.

  • Patent number: 6492968
Abstract: A method for detecting defects when mixed colors among color channels on a liquid crystal monitor is disclosed. The disclosed method utilizes the interference of four channels of red, green, blue and white colors to check whether a detected liquid crystal monitor can normally show the mixed colors. A rectangular channel drawing is shown on a liquid crystal monitor; wherein the most upper left point, the most upper right point, the most lower left point, and the most lower right point are respectively allocated by red, green, blue, and white pixels. Each color channel then extends separately along the diagonal direction and accompanied with color intensity gradually decreasing to obtain an interference diagram that contains several arc stripes on the rectangular drawing. Accordingly, those defective pixels will be clearly indicated in the rectangular channel drawing because they are usually flashing visually.

  • Patent number: 6442710
Abstract: A PC interval timer test method used in a personal computer to test the abnormality of the interval timer of a PC (personal computer) by: calculating the difference between the periodic interrupt frequency of the PC's CMOS Real Time Clock (R.T.C.) and the interval timer interrupt frequency within the same time period, and then judging the result by comparing the value of the difference thus obtained with the set maximum allowable value of error of the CMOS R.T.C.'s periodic interrupt frequency. The maximum frequency of the CMOS R.T.C. can be as high as 8192 Hz, so that the test error can be as minor as below 1/8192.

  • Patent number: 6342893
Abstract: A method used to test the correctness of image data transited between the system memory and display memory is described as follows. First, a image data A is stored in a location B of the system memory. Then, the data of image A and a location C of display memory are stored into a Bitblt temporary storage means. The Bitblt engine is used to transit the data of image A stored in the location B of system memory to the location C of display memory. Then, the data of location C, location D of display memory, and image A are input into the Bitblt temporary storage means. The Bitblt engine is used to transit the data of image A from the location C to the location D of display memory. The data of image A and location E are input into the Bitblt temporary storage means. The Bitblt engine is used to transit the data of image A from the location D into the location E of the system memory.
