  • Publication number: 20260128816
Abstract: A first codeword is generated by encoding a first code block of a first code block group that is associated with a first traffic type, and a second codeword is generated by encoding a second code block of a second code block group that is associated with a second traffic type different from the first traffic type. The first code block includes information bits from only the first traffic type, and the second code block includes information bits from the second traffic type and bits associated with the first code block. The first codeword is decodable independently of the second codeword, and is further decodable jointly with the second codeword.

  • Publication number: 20260101331
Abstract: A method has the step of: transmitting a downlink control information message for scheduling an uplink or downlink transmission of a plurality of data pieces of a plurality of traffic types in a single data block via a communication resource, the plurality of traffic types comprising a first traffic type for transmission via a first portion of the communication resource and a second traffic type for transmission via a second portion of the communication second resource.

  • Publication number: 20260051971
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for performing a set of transmissions using polar coding with retransmissions using cross-block check blocks are described. A first transmission is performed at a first code rate, the first transmission including a first plurality of information blocks, each information block having a plurality of information bits. A second transmission is performed at a second code rate that is lower than the first code rate. The second transmission includes a set of cross-block check blocks generated using information bits selected from across a second plurality of information blocks. Each of the second plurality of information blocks is a subset of the information bits of a respective one of the first plurality of information blocks, the information bits of each subset being selected from least reliable bit channels of the respective one of the plurality of information blocks.

  • Publication number: 20250330274
Abstract: A framework, corresponding methods, network devices, and apparatus for joint coding and MIMO optimization are provided that includes one or more of: a) MIMO layer mapping is performed per set of CB (SCB) rather than at the transport block (TB) level. An SCB may include one or more CB. In some cases, all SCBs include only one CB. b) Each SCB can have independent link adaptation (e.g. MCS and CB size) without a separate HARQ process and/or HARQ feedback per SCB; thus, the granularity of the HARQ process and/or HARQ feedback is at the TB level. c) Cross-CB coding may be applied over multiple SCBs, with the outputs of cross-CB coding mapped to separate MIMO layers to maximize performance, but without the use of per layer feedback or multiple TBs or HARQ processes; thus, the granularity of the HARQ process and HARQ feedback is at the TB level.

  • Publication number: 20250219762
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for UE cooperation in a retransmission scheme using cross-block check blocks are described. A first receiver node receives an initial transmission from a first transmitter node that includes a plurality of code blocks. The first receiver node decodes the plurality of code blocks. The first receiver node generates one or more cross-block check blocks using bits selected from across the plurality of code blocks. The first receiver node transmits, in a retransmission, at least one cross-block check block to a second receiver node, where the first receiver node and the second receiver node are both intended recipients of the initial transmission.
