Abstract: A container weight notification system including a monitoring unit. The monitoring unit includes a housing maintaining a weighing device, a microcontroller, and an alert device. The weighing device signals information indicative of a current weight of a container associated with the housing to the microcontroller. The microcontroller is programmed to prompt the alert device to generate a notification based upon a comparison of the current weight information with a maximum weight value and a minimum weight value, for example as a calculated ratio. Notifications are optionally delivered (wired or wirelessly) by the microcontroller to a remote computing device operating a notification application. The monitoring unit can be separate from the product container or integrally formed with the container.

Abstract: A multi-purpose head covering is disclosed. The multi-purpose head covering includes a hat capable of covering at least a portion of a wearer's head and a mask capable of covering at least a portion of a wearer's face. The mask has a central body and two extensions on either side of the central body. Each of the two extensions comprises a mask attachment member for attachment to the hat. The mask also includes a number of releasable fasteners, such as snaps, such that when the releasable fasteners are engaged to one another, the size of the mask changes.

Abstract: A dickey with head cover is disclosed. The dickey with head cover includes a hat capable of covering at least a portion of the wearer's head, and a dickey. The hat releasably attaches to the dickey. The dickey includes a shoulder yoke portion attached to the dickey to form an integral torso covering. The invention may also be used where the head cover is attached to a gaiter. The invention may also relate to attaching a gaiter to a head cover.

Abstract: An anti-slip overshoe includes a contoured outer band, a gripping pad disposed interior to the contoured outer band for providing traction, and a web structure connecting the gripping pad to the contoured outer band. The gripping pad can include gripping ridges for providing traction. The gripping pad can include ridge spaces for providing traction. The gripping pad can include removable grip devices for providing traction. A method of making an ant-slip overshoe includes providing a contoured outer band, providing a gripping pad disposed interior to the contoured outer band, and providing a web structure connecting the gripping pad to the contoured outer band.

Abstract: A convertible hat is disclosed. The convertible hat includes a main portion of the hat capable of covering at least a portion of the wearer's head, a brim portion that extends at least partially around the main portion of the hat, and a shield portion that is attached to at least one of the hat or the brim. The shield potion is capable of being stored in a compartment located in the hat main portion or in the brim of the hat.

The ease of pulling on and removing the overshoe is enhanced by using stretch zones that are placed to allow stretching of the overshoe to fit over a shoe or the like without compromising the snugness of the overshoe fit. A spike assembly for use with an overshoe that fits over a person's shoe and enhances a person's contact with the ground, includes a spike having a head operably coupled to a shank; and a button overmolded on the spike and having a neck for removable engagement in a bore defined in the overshoe. A method of minimizing slippage on a ground surface is further included.
