  • Patent number: 7895432
Abstract: A method and apparatus for a third party authentication server is described. The method includes receiving a record ID for a user, and a one-time key generated by the server and encrypted with a user's public key by the server. The method further includes receiving the user's authentication data from the client, and determining if the user's authentication data matches the record ID. If the authentication data matches the record ID, decrypting the one-time key with the user's private key, and returning the decrypted one-time key to the client.

  • Patent number: 7698565
Abstract: A method of providing a certificate from a client to a server is disclosed. The method comprises receiving a request for a certificate from the server and forwarding the request to a biometric certification server (BCS). The method further includes receiving a biometric identification from the client and forwarding the biometric identification to the BCS. If the biometric identification matches a registered user on the BCS, receiving a certificate including a public key of the client certified by the BCS, and forwarding the certificate to the server, thereby identifying the client to the server.

  • Patent number: 6799275
Abstract: A method and apparatus for securing a secure processor is described. A plurality of spurious points are added to a biometric template. A received biometric data is matched to the biometric template. It is determined if the plurality of spurious points are present in the received biometric data. If the received biometric data matches the biometric template and the spurious points were not present in the received biometric data, access is granted to the secure processor.

  • Patent number: 6097035
Abstract: A fingerprint detection apparatus which includes a detection array having a detection surface, and a fingerprint platform configured to supply a plurality of partial fingerprint images of a fingerprint to the detection surface as the fingerprint is moved relative to the detection surface. The fingerprint detection apparatus also includes a processing device that is configured to construct a final fingerprint image from the plurality of partial fingerprint images supplied to the detection surface. A method of detecting a fingerprint image comprising the steps of: (1) supplying a plurality of partial fingerprint images of a fingerprint to a detection surface of a detection array as the fingerprint is moved relative to the detection surface; and (2) constructing a final fingerprint image from the plurality of partial fingerprint images.
