Abstract: A method for fact correction and completion during document drafting. The method includes receiving a first user input comprising text being added to an electronic document and initiating a fact correction mode. The fact correction mode includes parsing the text to identify a factual proposition and determining the accuracy of the factual proposition. If the factual proposition is inaccurate, the mode includes displaying a visual indication of the inaccuracy of the factual proposition; receiving a second user input comprising an indication selecting the inaccurate factual proposition; displaying a menu that includes a correction element wherein the correction element is based on an accurate factual proposition related to the inaccurate factual proposition; receiving a third user input comprising an indication selecting the correction element; and modifying the electronic document by replacing at least a portion of the inaccurate factual proposition with at least a portion of the accurate factual proposition.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for editing a formula includes receiving a text string including formula information. The method further includes parsing the received text string and analyzing the parsed text string for a formula and formula errors while the text string is being received. In response to a formula error being detected in the analyzed text string, the method can include generating a message pertaining to the formula error. In response to a formula detected in the analyzed text string, the method can include calculating at least one sub-value for the formula and generating a message pertaining to the at least one sub-value of the formula.

Abstract: A collaborative editing environment is configured to display a modification to a document made by a user in a first user-style. The style of the modification is gradually transformed from the first user-style to a document-style, such that the style in which the modification is displayed provides an indication as to authorship and recency of the modification. The transformation can occur gradually over a first configurable time period. A second modification to a document made by a second user is displayed in a style associated with the second user. The display of the second modification is also transformed from the second user-style to the document style. The transformation of the display of the first modification and the transformation of the display of the second modification can be performed concurrently, and the duration of the first transformation can be different from the duration of the second transformation.
