Abstract: A stand-alone toilet system is powered by photovoltaic cells to operate a dehumidifier from which water is extracted from the atmosphere by dehumidification and used for flushing; an electronic compressor is situated in the toilet tank to compress air which is used with water in the flush cycle; a motorized or hydraulic hinge is utilized to open and close a toilet cover automatically which can be locked in place by an electromagnet securing mechanism to create an airtight seal in the closed position; a heating element and a UV lamp are situated inside the “treatment facility” of the toilet system to evaporate liquid and sanitize waste content therein respectively.

Abstract: Solar cells efficiency is improved, in a first approach, wherein the anode's “top contact” is relocated to the middle of a three-layer solar cell wafer, permitting maximum sunlight photons to excite free electrons in the anode and p-n junction, without causing obstruction or reflection of sunlight therein. In another embodiment, a rechargeable battery of at least 0.1 v is used, to create forward biasing of electrons in a solar cell, having an impurity level that is less than 99.999999%. The anode and cathode of a silicon base solar cell is doped with more than one element, other than phosphorous and boron, to increase its performance and decrease its manufacturing cost.

Abstract: A personal protective wearable air sterilizing apparatus is comprised of a series of looped internal conduits, designed in such a way to allow total internal reflection of UV light, and the simultaneous sterilization of atmospheric air. The apparatus has oxygen generator using electrolysis of water and neutralizes hydrogen gas derived from the process to an inert compound such as hydrogen peroxide; or reuses the hydrogen to generate electricity.

Abstract: A device in the shape of an arc, having a curvature of ideally 180 degrees and 12 inches or less width, can be comprised of one or more parts, engineered in such a way to facilitate the effortless turning and positioning of a bedbound patient—who is otherwise unable to maneuver or turn under his or her own strength when positioned within the arc. The arc is equipped with adjustable levers and harnesses so as to secure the patient within and prevent the device from moving when movement is not required. The device is configured with mechanical means to facilitate turning of the patient when required.
