Abstract: A system and method enable the synchronization between a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) and an external repository in Near Real Time (NRT) in an asynchronous mode. The external repository can be a data storage, as other database, where specific processes or tools (like Business Intelligence) run; or a set of tools to add to the database new features. For example, the system and method may be used to extend basic text search features provided by the database with the newest and complete Full Text Search (FTS) functionalities, such as faceting, geospatial, highlighting among others, natively into the SQL.
