  • Publication number: 20190228098
Abstract: Systems, computer-implemented methods and/or computer program products that facilitate answering questions that involve mathematical computations are provided. In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method comprises: transforming, by a system operatively coupled to a processor, a natural language query into a first logical representation and extrinsic knowledge into a second logical representation relevant to the natural language query; merging, by the system, the first logical representation and the second logical representation into a third logical representation; and generating, by the system, answers for the natural language query based on processing of the third logical representation.

  • Publication number: 20190121841
Abstract: Input text containing a plurality of patient information can be annotated for annotations and extracted. One or more annotations are parsed for relevant contextual information. The one or more annotations are assigned a semantic type. The one or more annotations are visually isolated, personalized to a user profile job, and outputted. The one or more extracted annotations are subjected to natural language processing operations.

  • Publication number: 20180365591
Abstract: Techniques facilitating assessment result determination based on predictive analytics and/or machine learning are provided. In one example, a computer-implemented method can comprise matching, by a system operatively coupled to a processor, input data retained in a knowledge source database to an inquiry included in a received questionnaire. The input data can be associated with a target entity. The computer-implemented method can also comprise generating, by the system, a response to the inquiry based on the input data retained in the knowledge source database and a feature value that specifies a defined form of the response. The response can be based on an applicability of the input data to the target entity. Further, generating the response can be based on machine learning applied to information retained in the knowledge source database.

  • Patent number: 9514161
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for transforming a Linked Data graph into a corresponding anonymous Linked Data graph, in which semantics is preserved and links can be followed to expand the anonymous graph up to r times without breaching anonymity (i.e., anonymity under r-dereferenceability). Anonymizing a Linked Data graph under r-dereferenceability provides privacy guarantees of k-anonymity or l-diversity variants, while taking into account and preserving the rich semantics of the graph.

  • Patent number: 9268950
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for preventing sensitive pattern disclosures from Linked Data graphs. The proposed method (i) receives as input a Linked Data graph and a set of query patterns that correspond to sensitive knowledge that needs to be concealed, and (b) minimally distorts the Linked Data graph to generate a sanitized counterpart (graph) in which only the non-sensitive patterns can be discovered. The method supports a variety of utility functions, which it optimizes during the graph sanitization process. The resulting, sanitized graph can be subsequently used for publishing and/or querying purposes.

  • Patent number: 8594985
Abstract: Techniques for analyzing flow of a quantity in a given domain are provided. In one aspect, a method for modeling regions in a domain affected by a flow of a quantity is provided which includes the following steps. A physical representation of the domain is provided. A grid that contains a plurality of grid-points in the domain is created. Sources are identified in the domain. Given a vector field that defines a direction of flow of the quantity within the domain, a boundary value problem is defined for each of one or more of the sources identified in the domain. Each of the boundary value problems is solved numerically to obtain a solution for the boundary value problems at each of the grid-points. The boundary value problem solutions are post-processed to model the regions affected by the flow of the quantity on the physical representation of the domain.

  • Patent number: 8229713
Abstract: Techniques for using air flow analysis to model thermal zones are provided. In one aspect, a method for modeling thermal zones in a space, e.g., in a data center, includes the following steps. A graphical representation of the space is provided. At least one domain is defined in the space for modeling. A mesh is created in the domain by sub-dividing the domain into a set of discrete sub-domains that interconnect a plurality of nodes. Air flow sources and sinks are identified in the domain. Air flow measurements are obtained from one or more of the air flow sources and sinks. An air flow velocity vector at a center of each sub-domain is determined using the air flow measurements obtained from the air flow sources and sinks. Each velocity vector is traced to one of the air flow sources, wherein a combination of the traces to a given one of the air flow sources represents a thermal zone in the space.
