  • Publication number: 20250001865
Abstract: An image display method includes the following steps: capturing images via an imager; detecting whether at least one obstacle is present via a telemetry device and, if the at least one obstacle is present, receiving distance data between the detected obstacle and the vehicle; determining whether the quality of visibility outside the vehicle is below a defined threshold; and determining whether predefined conditions representative of a hazard for the vehicle are met. The predefined conditions include at least the received distance data. The method includes, if the predefined conditions representative of a hazard are met and if the visibility quality is below the defined threshold, displaying the captured images on an area of the display screen and superimposing, on these captured images, in real time, at least one synthesis image to signal the detected obstacle.

  • Publication number: 20180267535
Abstract: The invention concerns an architecture for a driving assistance system with conditional automation capable of controlling an automatic emergency stop of a vehicle, comprising: a set (2) of sensors of at least three different technologies for observing an area in front of a vehicle; a main computer (10) capable of receiving, via a first upstream data communication network, information from said set (2) of sensors, and of transmitting commands, via a first downstream communication network, to a first computer (3) of an engine control system, to a second computer (4) of a braking system and to a third computer (5) of a steering control system: a backup computer (11) capable of receiving, via a second upstream data communication network, information from said set of sensors in case of a failure relative to the main computer (10); a main power supply source linked to each computer; and a backup power supply source.

  • Patent number: 8234052
Abstract: A method for managing a torque applied to an output shaft of a combustion engine, the combustion engine including combustion chambers, in each of which there is mounted a piston connected to the output shaft in order to apply a torque to it, the output shaft being connected to a rotary machine associated with a management member. The method involves detecting conditions of deactivation of one combustion chamber and controlling the rotary machine so as to apply to the output shaft, prior to the deactivation of one combustion chamber, a compensating torque which tends to cause a resultant torque applied to the output shaft to tend towards a deactivation torque applied by the combustion engine to the output shaft after deactivation of the combustion chamber.

  • Patent number: 8155864
Abstract: A method for controlling, during temporary stoppage, a four-stroke combustion engine including a block delimiting cylinders which define combustion chambers equipped with pistons into which opens an intake pipe and an exhaust pipe, both provided with valves that can move between open and closed positions. The method involves detecting conditions of a temporary stoppage of the engine and commanding the exhaust valves to be kept in the closed position once the engine has gone through an intake phase during the last engine cycle prior to the stoppage.
