Abstract: A method and system for the resource allocation for an interactive session on a grid computing system. When a user-request for an interactive session is received, the particular applications needed to be launched in the interactive session are identified, as are resource requirements for the interactive session including processor, network bandwidth, executables and files requirements. A contract is then generated for the interactive session specifying resource allocations and authorizations, and resources for the interactive session are allocated in accordance with the contract. The system includes a distributed resource management node, a contract generation engine, and a contract repository.

Abstract: A present invention emulation class revision process performs emulation class revisions. In one embodiment of the present invention an indication of an emulation class revision initiation is received. A safe state for performing the emulation class revision is established. In one exemplary implementation the safe state retains prior processing results. An emulation class revision is performed.

Abstract: The present invention includes a native language verification method for verifying native language information associated with an emulation class. Verification information associated with native language code is obtained. The native language code is referred to by an emulation language class. The legitimacy of the verification information is examined to confirm the native language is uncorrupted.

Abstract: A present invention emulation internal representation revision method performs revisions on internal representations. In one embodiment of the present invention, an indication of a revision to loaded emulation code is received. Conditions for maintaining consistency are created. An ordered listing for providing an index correspondence to the emulation code is revised. The information from the listing is incorporated in the internal representation of the emulation code, such that a virtual machine implementing the loaded emulation code is not shut down.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method for grid computing access control and a system thereof. A command is received from a user. The authorization of the user to execute the command is verified. A system parameter is monitored during execution of the command.
