  • Publication number: 20240285191
Abstract: Technologies for a monitoring system for monitoring a user's movement include a sensor module and a monitoring device. The sensor module is attached to the user or wearable by the user. The monitoring device detects the sensor module positioned in proximity to the monitoring device, receives sensor data from the detected sensor module, analyzes the received sensor data to determine a position and an orientation of the detected sensor module relative to the monitoring device, compares the determined positions of the detected sensor module to predefined planned positions, and initiates an alert notification in response to a determination that a difference between the determined positions of the detected sensor module and the predefined positions is greater than a reference threshold.

  • Publication number: 20240291717
Abstract: Techniques for recommending plans to remediate a network topologies are disclosed. The techniques include logging network topology information identifying relationships between entities in a network topology over a number of time periods. The techniques also include, using the logged network topology information, predicting characteristics of the network at a future time period. The techniques further include computing a signature based on the predicted characteristics and, using the signature, determining whether the predicted characteristics meet remediation criteria. Additionally, the techniques include, in response to determining the predicted characteristics meet the remediation criteria, determining a remediation plan for the current network topology and presenting the plan to a user.

  • Patent number: 12073381
Abstract: In certain embodiments, location-based activation of card identifiers may be facilitated. In some embodiments, an electrophoretic display card may store a set of location-specific card identifiers, where each card identifier of the set is associated with (i) an account of a user and (ii) creation location information indicating a device location of the user at a creation time of the card identifier. In response to being powered by a user device, the card may initiate wireless communication with the user device. The card may determine a device location of the user device, select a card identifier from the set of card identifiers that matches the device location, and switch a state of the card identifier to an active state to enable transaction processing for the card identifier. In some embodiments, the card may cause the active card identifier to be presented on an electrophoretic display of the card.

  • Publication number: 20240281253
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method for accessing an instruction that is to be executed by a control agent within a computing system, decompressing the instruction by replacing each of one or more zero-symbol run-length fields in the instruction with as many continuous zero symbols as its corresponding value and removing one or more non-zero-symbol run-length fields from the instruction, determining that the instruction is spatial-delta-encoded based on a compression data header associated with the instruction, performing spatial-delta decoding on the instruction in response to the determination by orderly determining a spatial-delta-decoded value of each bit in the instruction, and causing the instruction to be sent to the control agent.

  • Publication number: 20240281514
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for implementing a mutable device ownership transfer (DOT) of a device. An example system receives a request from a first customer to record a mutable DOT of a device using a First Customer Authentication Key (FCAK); receives the FCAK from the first customer in response to receiving the request; determines whether the device is capable of recording the mutable DOT; and installs, using a DOT circuitry, the FCAK in a non-volatile memory of a Root of Trust (RoT) associated with the device in an instance in which the device is capable of recording the mutable DOT. Installing the FCAK in the non-volatile memory of the Root of Trust (RoT) results in no permanent modification to the device.

  • Patent number: 12067410
Abstract: A computing system that provides virtual computing services may generate and manage remote computing sessions between client computing devices and virtual desktop instances hosted on the service provider's network. A computing resource instance manager may monitor connections to and disconnections from a virtual desktop instance during particular time periods, and may apply a resource management policy to determine whether and when to shut down an underlying virtualized computing resource instance following a disconnection (e.g., immediately, after some period of time, or only between certain hours). A storage volume for the virtual desktop instance may be detached during a shutdown. In response to a reconnection request, the virtualized computing resource instance (or another such instance) may be restarted and the storage volume may be reattached. The computing resource instance manager may develop a model for predicting when to shut down or restart an instance based on historical data or machine learning.

  • Patent number: 12067111
Abstract: A health ticket minting process operates in a secure enclave on a computing device to ensure liveness of the enclave should a maliciously-compromised operating system deny service to starve the enclave. Cryptographically-secured health tickets provided by the minting process reset an authenticated watchdog timer (AWDT) that reboots the device from a hardware-protected recovery operating system if the timer expires. The health tickets are written to a secure channel using a symmetric key that is provisioned by repurposing an existing Intel SGX (Software Guard Extension) Versioning Support protocol that enables migration of secrets between enclaves that have the same author. In the event that the enclave fails to make forward progress and health tickets are not minted, then the AWDT expires and forces the reboot and re-imaging to a known good state to evict the malware from the computing device.

  • Patent number: 12068206
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are based on extending a nanocomb transistor architecture to implement gate all around, meaning that a gate enclosure of at least a gate dielectric material, or both a gate dielectric material and a gate electrode material, is provided on all sides of each nanoribbon of a vertical stack of lateral nanoribbons of a nanocomb transistor arrangement. In particular, extension of a nanocomb transistor architecture to implement gate all around, proposed herein, involves use of two dielectric wall materials which are etch-selective with respect to one another, instead of using only a single dielectric wall material used to implement conventional nanocomb transistor arrangements. Nanocomb-based transistor arrangements implementing gate all around as described herein may provide improvements in terms of the short-channel effects of conventional nanocomb transistor arrangements.
