  • Patent number: 9908100
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of a TiO2 material comprising: preliminary mixing a titanium alkoxide with an acid; adding water, a phase separator and of an N source to the mixture thereby obtaining a TiO2 gel; washing the TiO2 gel with isopropanol; drying and calcining the TiO2 gel to produce the material. The invention also relates to a TiO2 material exhibiting an absorbance in the visible spectrum and in particular a light absorption at 500 nm which is greater than 50% of the light absorption at 400 nm, and its use as photocatalyst for the degradation of pollutants in air or water and water splitting into H2, under radiation in the visible spectrum.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 27, 2015
Date of Patent: March 6, 2018
Assignees: TOTAL SA, Centre National De La Recherche Scientifique—CNRS, Ecole Nationale Superieure de Chimie de Montpellier

  • Publication number: 20130299388
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for preparing a hydroconversion catalyst based on mesoporous silica or silica-alumina, comprising the following steps: (A) deposition of alumina on a mesoporous material having interconnected pores by treatment with at least one aluminium-based reactant, so as to obtain a compound having a Si/Al ratio of between 0.1 and 1000; (B) addition of at least one catalytically active species chosen from the group formed by the metals of group VIII and/or of group VIB; and (C) drying followed by thermal and/or chemical treatment according to the invention. The invention also relates to the catalyst thus obtained as well as a method of hydroconverting (hydrocracking, hydroisomerizing) a hydrocarbon feedstock, which comprises bringing the feedstock to be treated into contact with the hydroconversion catalyst according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 7179368
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for selectively desulphurizing thiopene compounds contained in hydrocarbons derived from crude oil distillation, whether refined or not, which consists in oxidising the thiophene sulphur atoms into sulphone in the presence of an oxidising agent and in separating said sulphonated compounds from said hydrocarbons. The invention is characterised in that it consists in oxidising the thiophene compounds in a two-phase turbulent medium comprising a hydrocarbon phase and an aqueous phase, in the presence of at least an oxidising agent soluble in at least one of the two phases and of at least a metal catalyst in soluble or dispersed form in a liquid of in solid form, separation and oxidation occurring simultaneously.
