    Abstract: A protective cover covers an end of a concrete reinforcing bar so as to prevent injuries caused by coming into contact with the end of the concrete reinforcing bar. The protective cover includes an elongated cylindrical collar for securing the protective cover to the exposed end of the concrete reinforcing bar, a cap which is arranged perpendicularly to the elongated cylindrical collar, and a seat having retaining sides which retain the concrete reinforcing bar within the seat, the seat disposed between the elongated cylindrical collar and the cap. The seat can have any shape that includes retaining sides which retain an end portion of the reinforcing bar within the seat. Examples of such shapes include frustrum-like shapes, prism-like shapes, cylindrical-like shapes, and sheet-like shapes with retaining sides in the form of a washer or a ring.
