  • Patent number: 5501112
Abstract: Method and apparatus are presented for snaring explosive, combustible, and other hazardous compounds in vapor and in particulate form, and also combustion residues, which system can be used to prevent, or retrodict the cause of explosions, fires, etc. after they have occurred. The snares are in the form of gated chambers on rotating time disks and moving belts which are used to capture molecules and particulate matter. The combination detects hazardous molecules and combustible particles or causes of dust explosions; and indicates an approximate time-history record of the evolution of particles before or during the course of fires and explosions, or other onerous occurances.

  • Patent number: 4487746
Abstract: An arc by-product evacuation and neutralization system is disclosed. The system includes a vacuum cleaner having an input port for receiving air containing powdery arc by-products. The vacuum cleaner also includes a non-corrosive plastic tank containing an alkaline solution for neutralizing the powdery arc by-products. The neutralization is achieved by jet action causing the alkaline solution to be agitated thereby absorbing the powdery arc by-products.

  • Patent number: 4132855
Abstract: A support insulator for supporting a high-voltage conductor within the interior of a gas-filled grounded housing has a generally triangular configuration, with the central bus supported within the interior of the triangle and with the apices of the triangle engaging the inner diameter of the grounded enclosure. An inner hub extending from the legs of the triangle assists in the support of the central insulator. The combination of a gas-filled high-voltage transmission line with a plurality of support insulators extending along the length of the line is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 3934071
Abstract: An air entrance bushing for a gas-insulated bus utilizing a porcelain insulator shell which is small in diameter. The central bushing conductor of the insulator reduces in diameter as the porcelain insulator reduces in diameter toward the outer end of the bushing.
