  • Publication number: 20220257987
Abstract: Collapsible insulated covers for devices (e.g., fire sprinklers) are contemplated. The collapsible insulated covers have one or more couplers configured to couple a device. The collapsible insulated covers collapse to thereby position the one or more to couple the device. It is contemplated that the collapsible insulated covers can create one or more seals that reduce heat transfer into its interior space (i.e., pocket) where the device or a portion of the device is placed for thermal insulation.

  • Patent number: 8733762
Abstract: A thermal bulb seal has a bulb portion and a tab portion that is configured to allow welding or other attachment of the bulb seal to the end surface of an insulating structure. Most preferably, the tab portion comprises an angled portion so allow welding of the bulb seal to another insulating structure.

  • Publication number: 20050225160
Abstract: A wheel shield adapted to protect a wheel from materials such as brake dust, and in so doing modify the appearance of a wheel and/or modify the flow of air across an outboard surface of the wheel. Also disclosed are a method of mounting a wheel shield to a vehicle, as well as features that improve the shields ability to dissipate heat, and which improve visibility of the shield while decreasing the amount of glare produced by the shield.

  • Patent number: 6131352
Abstract: A fire barrier for use in dynamic voids to seal against the spread of fire. Flexible foil-backed insulation material is supported by a woven metallic support screen positioned in the void. As the surfaces defining the void undergo relative movement, the ability of the individual wire elements of the screen to move in a scissor-like fashion relative one another allow the screen to distort laterally without shearing, wrinkling, or buckling while the insulation material floating thereon is effectively isolated from any shear forces. The foil backing allows the insulation to freely shift relative the support screen.

  • Patent number: 6125601
Abstract: A rollable fire-rated expansion joint comprising at least two heat resistant surfaces, at least two screens, each screen coupling together the at least two heat resistant surfaces, the coupled surfaces and screens defining the circumference of at least one cavity, and an insulator located within the at least one cavity.
