  • Patent number: 10980165
Abstract: An implement frame having a carriage frame for coupling to a towing vehicle and wheels to support the frame for movement over a ground surface. A pivot frame is rotationally mounted to the carriage frame and a lift assembly is coupled to the pivot frame via a shift assembly. A tool bar is mounted to the lift assembly. The shift assembly moves the tool bar forward as it is moved from the field use position to the transport position. The wheels are mounted to swing arms to move the wheels inward for a narrow transport position.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 17, 2018
Date of Patent: April 20, 2021
    Assignee: Deere & Company

  • Publication number: 20050087350
Abstract: Implement toolbars as used for planters have become very long in recent years. In order to assure good ground contact, the long toolbar of the present invention is divided up into more than three sections, including a center section and wing sections. The wing sections fold forward for transport on public roads, over field accesses, and through gates. The resulting planter can be longer than prior art planters while providing sound ground contact and a compact transport mode.
