  • Patent number: 6113088
Abstract: In order to enable quick and easy clamping of a work piece or device to the top of a work bench, the work bench is formed with a plurality of keyhole-like slots which are adapted to receive a threaded shaft and stopper arrangement which extends down from each of a plurality of rocker arm-like clamp members. Each of these clamps is such that a stopper which is provided on the bottom of the threaded shafts, is wider than the width of the slot. Rocker arms, which are connected to the upper ends of the threaded shaft, are each provided with a vertically extending bore through which a threaded shaft extends, and an intersecting lateral bore in which a follower nut which cooperates with the threaded shaft, is received. The lateral bore is formed toward one end of the rocker arm that is adapted to have engagement fingers or members at each end.

  • Patent number: 5875950
Abstract: A nail driving apparatus including a handle having a first and second end and a rod member having a first end permanently secured to a second end of the handle and a second end forming a striking surface, where the handle and the rod member are secured together so as to form a longitudinal axis. The apparatus further includes an elongated guide tube having a first end and a second end, where the rod member is slidably disposed within the guide tube. The handle further includes a tapered annular ring located about the rod member. The annular ring is operative for receiving the first end of the guide tube within the handle, and for temporarily securing the guide tube to the handle.

  • Patent number: 5390572
Abstract: A tool with improved impact and torque capabilities and having ergonomic handle. The tool may be a screwdriver, chisel, or the like. For example, the tool shank has a hex shaped portion integral to the two part ergonomic handle, which, with the dual molded handle composition, provides these increased tool capabilities. The ergonomic handle has a polypropylene core molded about the shank and a thermoplastic rubber cushion grip molded about the polypropylene core.

  • Patent number: 5271441
Abstract: A router accessory used in concert with a router attached to a router table. The accessory can be used to produce rosettes, model wheels, buttons, coasters, and other circular decorated projects, for example. In the preferred embodiment, a wooden workpiece can be positioned horizontally above a selected router bit. The workpiece zero point, which may be the workpiece center, can be off-set horizontally from the router bit. The accessory can then be used to lower the workpiece onto the router bit, so that rotation of the workpiece routs a circular cut equidistant from the workpiece zero point. The maximum depth of cut can be set. The off-set can be changed to make additional circular cuts into the workpiece, as desired.

  • Patent number: 5027984
Abstract: A caulking gun holder/driver is adapted to be driven by a cordless screwdriver or other power driver and includes two different shafts to which the driver can be attached. The holder/driver has a receptacle for receiving a tube of caulk, a threaded pusher rod with a pusher plate at its distal end to drive the caulk out of the receptacle, and flats at the proximal end to receive a power driver for "high speed" advance or retraction of the threaded driving rod, and a main drive shaft adaptable to receive the same power driving unit to rotate the threaded rod in a "slow speed" for better caulking application. In the dispensing mode, the threaded rod is connected via gear-reducer to the second drive shaft which permits only slow advancement of the threaded rod for better control of the flow of caulking compound out of the caulking tube, and prevention of "dribble" when power is turned off to the driving unit.

  • Patent number: 3990272
Abstract: A treating agent dispenser system for an automatic washing machine of the top loading type having an outer tub and a basket spaced inwardly therefrom. There is a dispenser adapted to be mounted above the machine's wash tub and having a plurality of compartments for receiving treating agents to be dispensed into the wash tub at predetermined times in a cycle of the washing machine by liquid being introduced into the machine. One of the compartments has a channel with a drain opening in liquid flow communication with a stationary holding tank. The holding tank has means for evacuating the dilute agent mixture after liquid flow into the tank is terminated. Liquid flowing from the holding tank is directed to the space between the tub and basket. The treating agent dispenser system provides for diluting the treating agent and flushing it from its compartment with fresh incoming liquid and dispenses it into the wash water and not onto the fabrics to be washed.

  • Patent number: 3974667
Abstract: A treating agent dispenser system for an automatic washing machine of the top loading type having an outer tub and a basket spaced inwardly therefrom. There is a dispenser having an upper housing portion and a lower housing portion adapted to be mounted above the machine's wash tub and has a plurality of compartments for receiving treating agents to be dispensed into the wash tub at predetermined times in a cycle of the washing machine. One of the compartments is for a bleach agent and has a surrounding upstanding wall and a channel in the bottom thereof with a drain opening therein. A sealing gasket is provided between the upstanding wall and upper housing portion. Ribs outside the compartment converge toward each other and terminate at an opening in communication with the adjacent compartment for directing any bleach leaking from the bleach compartment into the adjacent compartment for subsequent diluting before being dispersed onto the clothes.

  • Patent number: 3952556
Abstract: An improved liquid flow diversion arrangement for use with an additive dispensing system in an automatic washer. Included is a liquid flow diverter of the transverse pressure differential type having control ports coupled to atmosphere by tubes whose open ends terminate at the machine sequence control timer. Means are provided associated with the timer for closing the open ends of the tubes and thereby the control ports at predetermined times to effect liquid flow diversion. A check valve is provided at the outer end of each control port for preventing liquid from escaping from the fluid diverter. A chamber is coupled by a segment of the tubing between each control port and the timer for accumulating liquid that may bypass the check valves and further, for preventing audible sonic oscillations which may occur in the liquid flow diversion arrangement due to the inherent ability of the diverter to amplify resonance in the system.
