  • Patent number: 11129006
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for multi-subscription management are described. A user equipment (UE) supporting a dual-subscriber identify module (SIM) configuration may identify a message to disable a subscription associated with a first SIM of a dual-SIM universal SIM (USIM) card. Disabling the first SIM may include powering down a modem stack associated with the first SIM while maintaining power to the first SIM. The UE may configure a SIM toolkit manager associated with a SIM toolkit for the first SIM to a disabled state based at least in part on the message. The UE may then indicate to the first SIM that the SIM toolkit manager is in the disabled state.

  • Patent number: 11128751
Abstract: A mobile device may be configured to determine, in a secure portion of the mobile device, whether a non-volatile indication (e.g., a fuse or non-volatile bit or flag) allocated to lender binding has been set. A mobile device processor may query a payment server associated with a lender of the mobile device to determine a next payment due date in response to determining that the non-volatile indication allocated to lender binding has been set, and select an operating mode for the mobile device based on a difference between the next payment due date and the current date.

  • Patent number: 10972902
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify an ongoing operation associated with a file of a universal integrated circuit card coupled to the UE. The UE may identify a request to access the file during the ongoing operation. The UE may suspend the request to access the file during the ongoing operation. The UE may process the request to access the file after completion of the ongoing operation. Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Publication number: 20210021990
Abstract: Techniques for detecting and correcting information modification in a mobile device are provided. An example method for detecting and correcting information modification in a mobile device includes: making a determination that locking configuration information for locking the mobile device for use with a wireless network of a wireless network operator has been modified; configuring the mobile device with restored locking configuration information in response to the determination that the locking configuration information has been modified; and performing operations using the restored locking configuration information in response to the mobile device being configured to use the restored locking configuration information.

  • Publication number: 20200413253
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine that initial subscriber information associated with a universal integrated circuit card (UICC) alone is insufficient to establish a secure connection with a 5G new radio (NR) based network, obtain additional subscriber information from a secure storage location which is separate from the UICC, generate a subscription concealed identifier (SUCI) based on the additional subscriber information along with the initial subscriber information, and establish the secure connection with the 5G NR based network based on the SUCI.

  • Publication number: 20200260274
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently personalizing or locking a user equipment (UE) for operation with a specific operator. For example, a manufacturer may load multiple operator configurations associated with multiple operators in UE storage such that the UE may support operation with any of the multiple operators. The UE may then allow a user to select an operator from the multiple operators, and the UE may select and apply an operator configuration corresponding to the selected operator to lock the UE for operation with the selected operator. Thus, using these techniques, a user may be able to dynamically personalize or lock a UE for operation with a selected operator. Further, after being personalized or locked for operation with one operator, a UE may be more easily re-personalized or locked for operation with a different operator.

  • Publication number: 20160088467
Abstract: A method for multi-Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) operation on a mobile communication device includes: activating, in a first mobile communication device having a local SIM profile, a client module configured to obtain SIM profile information from a SIM profile of a second mobile communication device; sending a short range communication (SRC) signal to the second mobile communication device causing the second mobile communication device to activate a server module configured to share the SIM profile information of the SIM profile for the second mobile communication device with the first communication device; remotely accessing the shared SIM profile information of the shared SIM profile by the first mobile communication device; and operating the first mobile communication device in a multi-SIM mode using SIM profile information of the local SIM profile and the shared SIM profile information.
