Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and computer-readable media related to contextual anchor points in content. In some embodiments, processed content may be received from a server. Contextual anchor parameters may be received from a user. A selection of an anchor target in the processed content may be received from a user. One or more contextual anchor candidates may be identified in the processed content based at least in part on the anchor target and the one or more contextual anchor parameters. The one or more contextual anchor candidates and at least a portion of the processed content may be displayed to the user. A selection of at least one contextual anchor from the one or more contextual anchor candidates may be received from the user. • Publication number: 20170094010
Abstract: Technologies for communication with direct data placement include a number of computing nodes in communication over a network. Each computing node includes a many-core processor having an integrated host fabric interface (HFI) that maintains an association table (AT). In response to receiving a message from a remote device, the HFI determines whether the AT includes an entry associating one or more parameters of the message to a destination processor core. If so, the HFI causes a data transfer agent (DTA) of the destination core to receive the message data. The DTA may place the message data in a private cache of the destination core. Message parameters may include a destination process identifier or other network address and a virtual memory address range. The HFI may automatically update the AT based on communication operations generated by software executed by the processor cores. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 9141867
Abstract: Some examples include segmenting text of a content item to include a plurality of segments or words. For instance, a module for segmenting a content item using a context-based segmenter into a plurality of segments, identifying segment boundary hints stored in the content item, and adjusting segments of the plurality of segments based on the identified segment boundary hints. Some additional examples include inserting segment boundary hints into a content item. For instance a module that segments the content item using a first segmenter and a second segmenter and inserting segment boundary hints into the content item where the results of the first and second segmenter differ.

  • Patent number: 9125413
Abstract: The present invention relates to nematicides, which are compositions that kill nematodes when placed in physical contact with nematodes. Nematodes do not decompose organic matter, but, instead, are parasitic and free-living organisms that feed on living material. M. incognita is a root knot nematode that has the ability to cause infection in more than 2,000 species of plants. Specifically, the present invention relates to CED-4 peptides that effectively kill nematodes. These CED-4 peptides are segments of the CED-4 protein. This invention is directed to a nematicide composition comprising an effective amount of a CED-4 peptide consisting of no more than 50 amino acids. In one aspect of the invention, the nematicide composition consists of no more than 30 amino acids. In another aspect of the invention, the nematicide consists of no more than 20 amino acids.

  • Publication number: 20150245189
Abstract: A safety event is determined as affecting a user based at least in part context data collected at a user device associated with the user. In some aspects, context data is detected from sensors on the client device, the context data describing a present context of the user. A deviation of the present context from a historical context is determined to be beyond a threshold. Determining that the deviation is beyond the threshold can be determined to correspond to a safety event potentially jeopardizing safety of the user. In some aspects, an action can be launched in response to determining the safety event.

  • Publication number: 20150220734
Abstract: Code of a particular application is analyzed against a semantic model of a software development kit of a particular platform. The semantic model associates a plurality of application behaviors with respective application programming interface (API) calls of the particular platform. A set of behaviors of the particular application is identified based on the analysis of the code and a particular one of the set of behaviors is identified as an undesired behavior. The particular application can be automatically modified to remediate the undesired behavior. The particular application can be assigned to one of a plurality of device modes, and access to the particular application on a user device can be based on which of the plurality of device modes is active on the user device.

  • Patent number: 8511632
Abstract: A suspension system for a cryostat includes a coupling mechanism, a fixation body, and a pin. The coupling mechanism is joined to an outer vessel and coupled with a strap. The fixation body is joined to an inner vessel. The fixation body extends between a front side that faces the coupling mechanism and an opposite receiving side with an interior channel extending from the receiving side to the front side. The channel defines a front opening in the front side and a rear opening in the receiving side. The pin is loaded into the fixation body through the rear opening in the receiving side of the fixation body with the strap looped around the pin and extending through the front opening to the coupling mechanism. The pin secures the coupling mechanism to the fixation body via the strap by engaging the fixation body inside the channel.

  • Publication number: 20130151225
Abstract: A method for verifying a circuit is provided. A first portion of a simulation of the circuit is executed within a hardware description language (HDL) environment so as to generate a first data set. A tool (which is external to the HDL environment) is called using a system task within the HDL environment. The tool is then executed on the first data set to generate a second data set, and a second portion of the simulation of the circuit is executed within the HDL environment using the second data set.

  • Patent number: 7724526
Abstract: An electronic module includes a printed circuit board with a heat producing electrical component assembled in an insulating housing. The component is adjacent a thermally conducting heat sink with a thermally conductive material disposed therebetween. Integral with the heat sink is a thermally conductive runner, partially encased in the housing wall, connecting the heat sink to a thermally conductive port. The port is coupled to a base structure when the housing is attached to the base, forming a heat conduction path from the component to the base.
