Patent number: 11900840Abstract: Aspects presented herein relate to methods and devices for graphics processing including an apparatus, e.g., client device or a server. The apparatus may receive, from a server, a plurality of data packets corresponding to data for each of a plurality of frames associated with at least one application. The apparatus may also convert the plurality of data packets to content associated with the data for each of the plurality of frames, the content including at least one of monochrome color content or a luminance component. Further, the apparatus may perform a color space conversion on the content associated with the data for each of the plurality of frames, the color space conversion adding at least one chrominance plane to the content. The apparatus may also display, upon performing the color space conversion, the content associated with the data for each of the plurality of frames.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 2021Date of Patent: February 13, 2024Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Olk Idapalapati, Venkata Naga Poleswara Rao Karuchula

Patent number: 11546519Abstract: Systems and methods for capturing one or more images include a smart capture mode for detecting one or more reflective objects in an image to be captured by a device, and determining whether a display provided in the device will cause a disturbance when the image is captured, the disturbance based on one or more reflections of the display on the one or more reflective objects. A brightness of the display is adjusted prior to capturing the image based on determining that the display will cause the disturbance, where adjusting the brightness of the display reduces the disturbance in the image when the image is captured. The brightness of the display can be adjusted by dimming or turning off the display. The display can be returned to a previous state upon capturing the image, the previous state being prior to the brightness of the display being adjusted.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 2020Date of Patent: January 3, 2023Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Palak Bhatia, Venkata Naga Poleswara Rao Karuchula

Publication number: 20220150867Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media for intelligent routing of notifications of incoming voice communication requests. A device, such as a smartphone, may receive an incoming voice communication request, such as a cellular voice call. The smartphone may then identify devices connected to it, such as headsets, tablets, etc., and request each device activate a microphone or camera to attempt to locate the user with respect to the connected devices. The smartphone may then select one of the connected devices, or itself, as the device best able to notify the user of the incoming call based on captured audio, images, or video. The smartphone may then request the selected device output a notification, such as a ring tone, to notify the user of the incoming call. Such a technique may avoid inundating the user with simultaneous call notifications from multiple devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 19, 2021Publication date: May 12, 2022Inventors: Sravan Kumar Reddy ACHAMOLA, Kiran KOONA, Ravi Teja MANDAVILLI, Venkata SubbaRao ANNAM, Tejasree DEPA, Prapulla VUPPU, Venkata Naga Poleswara Rao KARUCHULA

Patent number: 8792550Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for preventing or reducing the appearance of undesirable color and/or gray patches in decoded video sequences due to generation of out-of-bound quantized transform coefficients during video encoding. Insufficient compression of a video block according to a selected encoding mode and a selected quantization parameter (QP) value may result in the generation and subsequent clipping of out-of-bound quantized transform coefficients for a given video coding standard. The techniques include predicting whether out-of-bound quantized transform coefficients will be generated for a video block, and adjusting at least one of the selected encoding mode and the selected QP value for the video block to prevent the generation of out-of-bound quantized transform coefficients.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 2011Date of Patent: July 29, 2014Assignee: QUALCOMM IncorporatedInventors: Venkata Naga Poleswara Rao Karuchula, Ashish Bajaj, Surya Manikya Phanindra Kalanadhabhatla, Praneeth Paladugu, Aditya Bhuvanagiri
