  • Publication number: 20170046749
Abstract: A method and system for providing a one-click interface to a user for creating an advertisement instantly, and a method and system for a customer to respond to an advertisement. In particular, the method and system are suitable for receiving an input of information and settings related to the desired advertisement from a user and using a single click action to create the advertisement instantly. The one-click interface provides a simplistic approach for an unsophisticated user to easily create a promotion or advertisement in a short period of time and have the promotion or advertisement go live instantly. The method and system also support a more efficient solution for a customer to respond to an advertisement.

  • Publication number: 20140074596
Abstract: A system enables tracking of specific ad impressions that are responsible for eliciting specific telephone responses to online ads. Each time the system receives a request from a user to present an advertiser's telephone number in an impression of an ad, the system generates a temporary telephone number for the advertiser. The temporary telephone number lasts for a limited lifetime, during which any incoming telephone call is automatically routed to a POC designated by the advertiser. Whenever a temporary telephone number is generated for an advertiser, the system associates the temporary telephone number with the ad impression in which the temporary telephone number is displayed. Preferably, each temporary telephone number is only presented once during its lifetime, such that each temporary telephone number is only associated with a single ad impression. Thus, any call to a temporary telephone number can only have been elicited by a single ad impression.

  • Publication number: 20130124344
Abstract: A computer implemented system and method of determining whether to display an advertisement to a user can include determining, using at least one processor, a likelihood that a user accessing a web page would select an advertisement if displayed to the user in the web page at a future moment during that trip by the user to the web page. An analysis module can determine whether or not the determined likelihood satisfies criteria imposed by a click-through-rate associated with the web page. If the determined likelihood value satisfies the click-through-rate, then an advertisement can be output to the user through at least one output device. Otherwise, the system can refrain from causing an advertisement to be output to the user for inclusion in the web page during that particular visit by the user to the web page.

  • Patent number: 7437368
Abstract: A method and system for interactive product merchandising for an end user accessing a destination, such as a Web site, over a network, such as the Internet. The method includes extracting information pertaining to the destination and using this information to select a product to promote to the end user. Then heterogeneous information is collected that is related to the product, such as vendors, pricing, vendor ratings, vendor reviews, product ratings, product reviews, other related products, and other information. A unified display unit is composed from the heterogeneous information to provide an interactive user interface for the end user for presentation at the destination (e.g., displayed on the Web site). The method also tracks activity by the end user at the unified display unit to use as input in selecting one or more other products for another promotion to the end user. The method is aimed at encouraging impulsive buying by an end user who is browsing the network without intending to make a purchase.

  • Patent number: 7299270
Abstract: An inferred relation weighting process for determining the strength of an inferred relation between a first and a second Internet object which are not directly linked includes a first link weighting process for determining the strength of at least a first link between the first non-directly linked Internet object and a common object. A second link weighting process determines the strength of at least a second link between the second non-directly linked Internet object and the common object. An inferred relation weight calculation process calculates the strength of the inferred relation based on the strength of the at least a first link and the at least a second link.

  • Publication number: 20050154640
Abstract: A method is disclosed for enabling relevant and targeted information/service exchange between information/service providers (i.e., suppliers) and information/service seekers (i.e., customers) using a content and behavior-based contextual targeting system as the information-brokering agent. Additionally, another method is disclosed for tracking and optimizing relevant and targeted information/service exchange between suppliers and customers across different transaction-based payment models, such as cost per thousand impressions, cost per transaction and cost per acquisition. Finally, a method for intelligent real-time information seeking across a distributed computer-network to find relevant and targeted information/services offered by information/service providers to the information/service seekers is also disclosed.
