  • Publication number: 20220075633
Abstract: In one implementation, a method of accessing shared data among processes is performed by a device including processor(s), non-transitory memory, and an image acquisition interface. The method includes obtaining image data acquired by the image acquisition interface. The method further includes determining pose data based at least in part on inertial measurement unit (IMU) information measured by the image acquisition interface. The method also includes determining a gaze estimation based at least in part on eye tracking information obtained through the image acquisition interface. Based at least in part on characteristics of processes, the method includes determining an arrangement for the image data, the pose data, and the gaze estimation. The method additionally includes determining an access schedule for the processes based at least in part on at least one of: the arrangement, the characteristics of the processes, and hardware timing parameters associated with the device.

  • Publication number: 20210150774
Abstract: An electronic device: obtains a first set of subjects associated with a first pose of the device; determines likelihood estimate values for each of the first set of subjects based on user context and the first pose; determines whether at least one likelihood estimate value for at least one respective subject in the first set of subjects exceeds a confidence threshold; and generates recommended content or actions associated with the at least one respective subject using at least one classifier associated with the at least one respective subject and the user context in response to determining that the at least one likelihood estimate value exceeds the confidence threshold.

  • Patent number: 10943557
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus to transition a display device between operating modes using a single dedicated pin of a circuit connected to the display device. The dedicated pin can receive a packet signal corresponding to an operating mode for the display device, and the circuit can thereafter cause the display device to transition into the desired operating mode in response to receiving the packet signal. The operating mode can be a low power on mode where an interface connected to the circuit is deactivated and at least some circuitry of the display device is throttled or powered off. The display device can be driven in an all black state while in the low power on mode, thereby allowing the display device to more quickly transition out of the low power on mode compared to when the display device is completely off.

  • Publication number: 20200082576
Abstract: An electronic device: obtains pass-through image data characterizing a field of view captured by an image sensor; determines whether a recognized subject in the pass-through image data satisfies a confidence score threshold associated with a user-specific recommendation profile; generates one or more computer-generated reality (CGR) content items associated with the recognized subject in response to determining that the recognized subject in the pass-through image data satisfies the confidence score threshold; and composites the pass-through image data with the one or more CGR content items, where the one or more CGR content items are proximate to the recognized subject in the field of view.

  • Publication number: 20130328944
Abstract: A system and method calibrating operational characteristics of a device. Commands for operation of the device may be derived from a set of operational characteristics common to a set of devices similar to the device. This set of operational characteristics may further be adjusted by operational characteristics related to the device itself. This may allow for more adaptive control signals to be generated for control of portions of the device.
