Abstract: Various systems and methods for automated media filtering are disclosed. For example, some methods include receiving an indication of a situational difference via an automatic sensor, and based at least in part on the situational difference, a program played on a media player is modified. In some cases, the methods further include accessing a filter that compares the change in situational difference with a predefined access control rule set. As just some of many examples, the situational difference may include a change in persons within proximity of the media player and/or a change in programming selection in relation to the media player.

Abstract: The present invention provides systems, devices, and methods for obtaining, analyzing, and sharing gesture information between participants of a communication session. The present invention is particularly well suited for use in video communication sessions where participants may want to be aware of the indications that their gestures are giving to other participants. The present invention is also capable of being employed in non-video communication sessions to share gesture information and other visual indicia to other participants that cannot otherwise view the speaking/acting participant.

Abstract: The present invention provides a systems, device, and methods for establishing an ad-hoc communication network. Members to the ad-hoc network are allowed to operate in a social mode that allows the devices to share state information with one another and further implement similar behavioral mannerisms. More specifically, the ad-hoc network may be defined by certain functions that are enabled/disabled and any member to that particular ad-hoc network agrees to operate its functionality according to the functions that have been enabled/disabled for that network.
