Abstract: A door bar for barring the door of an automotive vehicle of the type wherein the door has doorjambs, an inside door pull handle for closing the door and a space between the inside door pull handle and the door for receiving a hand, includes a rigid elongate unitary structure with a bar and a panel depending from, e.g., extending perpendicularly from, the bar. The bar has a longitudinal axis and the panel extends abaxially from the bar. The door bar is configured and dimensioned to be positioned between the pull handle and the door and extends from a point prior to the pull handle across the door to beyond the door jamb to bar the door from being opened.
