    Abstract: In an apparatus for making wood and/or paper products from raw wood, the exhaust gas from the boiler that is employed for generating steam is used to heat the drying gas that is passed through the dryer. An air-to-air heat exchanger is used to transfer the heat energy from the exhaust gas to the drying gas.
