    Abstract: A roof covering includes an upper portion, a lower portion, and a retainer. The upper portion includes a nailing strip, a water stop, a lock, and a lock indicator. After a first strip of the roof covering is installed on a roof, a second strip of the roof covering is interlocked with and secured to the first strip. A retainer of the second strip is received in the lock of the first strip to secure the strips together. Successive strips of roof coverings are added to a roof until a desired area is covered.

    Abstract: A debris blocking gutter system includes a gutter having a front wall, a bottom wall and a rear wall forming a trough for receiving water. A shield for covering at least a portion of the trough includes a cover portion and a downwardly projecting blocking wall. A hanger or bracket includes a first arm for supporting the front wall and preventing it from collapsing due to the weight of debris. The hanger includes a second arm for supporting the shield without contacting the cover portion. The first and second arms prevents the gutter from collapsing due to the weight of debris such as snow and ice.

    Abstract: A gutter for a building includes a longitudinal body having a central concave channel, a front edge and a rear edge. The concave channel defines inner and outer surfaces. A curled retaining flange is formed along the front edge and defines inner and outer surfaces. A transition portion is formed at the intersection of the concave channel and the retaining flange. Tangents of the outer surfaces of the concave channel and the retaining flange originating at the transition portion form an acute angle. If desired, a roof flange can be formed along the rear edge of the longitudinal body.
