Abstract: A stackable packaging unit includes a pack having a length and a width. The pack also includes a plurality of individual use containers positioned in the pack. The individual use containers include a base having a base center axis, a body and an offset top load support surface having an offset center axis. The base center axis and the offset center axis are spaced apart and extend substantially parallel to each other. The offset top load support surfaces of the containers adjacent to an outside periphery of the pack along the length and width of the pack are positioned in the pack such that the offset center axis is closer in proximity to the outside periphery of the pack than the base center axis. The configuration of containers in the packs provides an increased stability of the pack when placed in a stacked configuration.

Abstract: A closure for a fluid containing vessel comprises a base and a one-piece lid. The base has a sidewall and a shoulder formed at a top surface of the sidewall. A spout extends upward from the shoulder and has an opening formed in a top surface of the spout. The one-piece lid has a ring portion and a cover portion. A hinge portion connects the cover portion to the ring portion and allows the cover portion to move from a closed position to an open position. The hinge portion is disposed completely within an outer periphery of the ring portion with the cover portion in the closed position. The cover portion covers the opening in the top surface of the spout in the closed position to form a fluid tight seal between the base and the one-piece lid.

Abstract: A package for storing and dispensing granular materials such as dishwashing detergent. The package has a carton section, preferably made from paperboard, that has a plug receptacle preferably in its top wall adjacent the top edge. The package further includes a corner cap for measuring quantities of the granular material. The corner cap form fits over the corner of the package that has the plug receptacle adjacent to it. The cap has a plug extending into its inner container space so as to telescope into the plug receptacle in a complimentary fashion when the cap is placed on the carton. The plug and plug receptacle ensure that the cap remains securely attached to the carton when not in use. The carton also includes a dispensing orifice for dispensing the granular material from the carton into the cap. The plug receptacle can be the dispensing orifice if it extends through the entire distance of the top wall.
