Abstract: According to embodiments described in the specification, a method, system and apparatus for processing product and service data are provided. The method is performed by a server having a processor interconnected with a memory and a communications interface. The method comprises storing, in the memory, product data defining a plurality of products, the product data including a merchant restriction associated with at least one product; storing, in the memory, a merchant identifier identifying a merchant entity; receiving at the processor, via the communications interface, a request from a merchant device to associate selected product data with the merchant identifier; determining at the processor whether the request is permissible, based on the merchant restriction; and when the determination is affirmative, storing the association of the selected product data with the merchant identifier in the memory.
