Abstract: A system and method is disclosed for allowing users with access to the internet and a computer the ability to post any items they would like to offer by trade, propose a value for those offered items, search for items they would like to receive by trade, which may or may not be currently held in inventory, be notified when potential trades are available and accept or reject items they would like to receive by trade and confirm the trade with at least one other user. Additionally, the system will allow a user to make a direct purchase of items that have been specified as such.
